If you are planning on taking your boat over to help with the relief efforts I completely understand but besides the good advice that the Coast Guard has posted I would add the following. PLEASE check your insurance for your boat. MANY policies will have language in them about operating in war and disaster areas so make sure you are covered especially when entering the now unchartered area of the Northern Bahamas. The last thing you need while doing a good deed is to have an issue that requires you to access your insurance to find out that you are not covered.

Denison Yachting and myself are asking for your help! I have waited until now to post this until I was able to speak with those effected in the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas and the reports are not good at all. Most of us have enjoyed good times in Treasure Cay, West End, Hope Towne, Bakers Bay and of course the world famous Nippers and now they need our help! While search and rescue operations are still underway we need to collect much needed funds and supplies so that when the time is right and it is safe to deliver the much needed help we are ready to go. The most amazing thing to me at a boat show is listening to clients talk about their amazing experiences not only on the boats but with the companies they work with. I was blown away today about the stories I heard about their glowing praises of the Denison team. Big shout out to Bob Denison for putting such a great team together!
