Across Oklahoma, voters are taking freedom into their own hands. Our grassroots movement seeks to make vision care affordable by amending Oklahoma's laws.
Right now, Senate Floor Leader Kim David has authored legislation which will give Oklahomans more choices in eye care, while protecing the doctor-patient relationship.
Passage of SB 902 will give Oklahomans the choices those in 47 other states already have. SB 902 will break down barriers to affordable vision care. By letting optometrists practice in retail locations, we'll make the market more competitive and drive down prices for hardworking families and citizens.
This commonsense reform will improve education by solving one of the greatest hurdles to early reading — poor vision. It will alleviate financial burdens on households with limited budgets. It will aid seniors and those with medical needs by providing more affordable choices. Most of all, it will benefit ordinary citizens who are being preyed upon by predatory pricing.
