ORIGINAL KERATIN TREATMENT AFTERCARE

To ensure your Keratin Treatment lasts and you get the best straightening possible, we recommend the following aftercare:

FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS

What you CAN DO:

* Put your hair in a plastic cap, for 3 days when showering.

• You do want to wear your hair down for at least 3 days to allow the product to settle in your hair.

• Do use a blow dryer and flat iron 3-4 times BEFORE washing, (this helps the keratin to take deeper into the hair)

• Do wear a silk scarf to pull your hair away from your face.

• Do use a shampoo without Sodium-Chloride (Sulfate-Free) on your hair at all times. Normal shampoo can cause the keratin to breakdown and, therefore, your treatment may not last as long. Sulfate-Free

products can be purchased when you receive your treatment. What you CANNOT DO:

• Do not exercise or sweat for 3 days.

• Products containing alcohol will shorten the life of the BKT

. (Moisturizing or other keratin), this will take out some keratin because it opens the hair shaft and penetrates the hair.

.When you wash your face, use a cloth hair band to keep cleanser off your hair. FACIAL CLEANSERS CONTAIN SULFATE, WHICH TAKE THE KERATIN OUT! Use your shampoo to wash around your hair line, ears and neck.

. The same with your body wash. Keep your hair up in the shower, wash body first, then wash hair. Don't let the body wash touch the hair! This also contains sulfate! I use OK Original Keratin shampoos and conditioners. You CAN NOT use any conditioners that are treatment based, like re-constructors, deep moisturizing, reparative or anything that says treatment. . TRY NOT to use hot water when washing and remember, don't wash everyday! The less you wash, the longer the treatment will last. Once or twice a week will maximize your lasting results.
