OT-215 8.5” Metallic Clutch-Flywheel Kits are primarily designed Drifting, Track Day and Pro Touring car applications. Compared to the equivalent number of disc 7.25” clutch, OT-215 8.5” Metallic Clutches provide approximately 50% more mass for increased heat capacity to keep overall clutch temperatures down, while providing higher torque capacity and better modulation.

OT-215 Metallic Clutch-Flywheel Kits include an OT-215 8.5” clutch assembly (3-plate or 4-plate), 1 5/32” x 26 (aka 1 1/8” x 26) spline discs pack, billet chromoly steel flywheel, clutch bolt kit and flywheel bolt kit.

OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutch-Flywheel Kits are primarily designed applications such Pro Touring and Track Day cars that are regularly driver at racetrack events and driven occasionally on the street. They offer a good compromise between larger diameter/heavier (10.5”/11”) OEM-type clutches and smaller diameter/lighter 7.25” racing clutches. Compared to the equivalent number of disc 7.25” clutch, OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutches provide approximately 50% more mass for increased heat capacity to keep overall clutch temperatures down, while providing higher torque capacity and better modulation.

OT-215 Cerametallic Clutch-Flywheel Kits include an OT-215 8.5” clutch assembly, 1 5/32” x 26 (aka 1 1/8” x 26) spline discs pack, billet chromoly steel flywheel, clutch bolt kit and flywheel bolt kit.

Tilton’s 700-Series hydraulic release bearing (also known as a hydraulic throwout bearing) features a 44mm (1.75″) radius-face contact bearing diameter. Ideal for 7.25″ Tilton clutches, the 700-Series hydraulic release bearing is optimal for slip-fit mounting (onto the pilot tube of the transaxle).

AN-3 braided lines and related fittings are included in the kit.

Tilton’s 600-Series 3-pedal floor mount assembly features traditional fixed-mount master cylinder and balance bar technology and provide excellent performance at competitive prices. Pedal assemblies are available in floor-mount, firewall-mount and overhung configurations.
Features:

· Forged aluminum pedals with adjustable (vertical & horizontal) foot pads and anti-slip surfaces.

· Adjustable pedal ratio (5.29:1, 5.44:1, 5.61:1, 5.75:1) enable the brake pedal to be tuned to driver preference without having to change master cylinder bore size.

· Large diameter 7/16”-20 balance bar provides maximum rigidity. PTFE coated aluminum clevises for increased durability and reduced friction.

· Pedal pivots feature wave washers to reduce lateral pedal movement and oil impregnated bronze bushings decrease stiction.

Tilton’s 7.25″ OT-II cerametallic racing clutches are primarily designed for racing applications where some clutch modulation is desired. They feature 4-paddle discs that incorporate a unique blend of ceramic and metallic materials. Cerametallic discs are thicker than sintered metallic discs, and they provide higher heat capacity through their increased mass. In addition, the engagement characteristics of cerametallic clutches are smoother than sintered metallic clutches. These features make Tilton’s 7.25″ OT-II cerametallic racing clutches popular in the following applications:

Designed to complement Tilton’s current generation 600-Series aluminum overhung and firewall-mount pedal assemblies, Tilton’s 600-Series throttle pedal is designed to mount onto the existing under-dash framework used for the brake & clutch pedal assembly, enabling customers to have a matched set of clutch, brake and throttle pedals. It can also be used with previous generation Tilton 600-Series pedal assemblies. The throttle pedal is designed to accept Tilton’s throttle linkage kits (sold separately), which are available with either mechanical linkage or drive-by-wire systems. A steel extension arm kit, designed for attaching throttle cables in mid- and rear-engine cars, is also available (P/N 72-183).
The 600-Series throttle pedal assembly features a lightweight and rigid forged aluminum pedal arm and frame, and provides a range of motion of approximately 30 degrees. As with Tilton’s current generation 600-Series Aluminum Overhung and Firewall-mount pedal assemblies, the 600-Series throttle pedal allows for a variety of pedal pad configurations, with lateral, vertical and angular adjustments available. It also features built-in throttle stops for both pedal directions. An optional grip-tape pedal pad overlay is included.

· Forged aluminum pedals engineered for high rigidity and low weight

79-Series (ABS-Compatible) Master Cylinders

79-Series master cylinders are specifically designed for use with motorsport ABS systems. Unlike traditional master cylinders, 79-Series master cylinders do not utilize a conventional cut-off port, and instead, feature a new port strategy with a mechanically opened cut-off/compensation path. Elimination of the cutoff port greatly reduces the chance of seal damage caused by high-pressure pulsations from the ABS system.

Designed primarily for road racing, circle track, open-wheel and formula applications, Tilton’s 7.25″ OT-II metallic racing clutches offer the low moment-of-inertia, high torque capacity, and reliability necessary for the most demanding racing applications. These features have made metallic clutches the most common clutch type used in road racing and circle track racing. Metallic clutches are not recommended for street use. Tilton Engineering invented the carbon/carbon racing clutch—and patented the drive system—in the mid-80s. It was the first carbon/carbon clutch ever to win a Formula One Grand Prix (Ayrton Senna’s Lotus-Honda at the 1987 US Grand Prix in Detroit). Since then, Tilton OT-Series carbon/carbon clutches have been continually refined to be the best carbon racing clutches on the market. They have seen multiple victories in races worldwide, from the 24 Hours of Le Mans to the Baja 1000.

Utilizing the experience Tilton has gained over the last twenty-plus years, OT-Series have evolved to be second to none in quality. Each is built using the finest materials, the latest in manufacturing processes and is held to strict quality control standards. Tilton’s 900-Series pedal assemblies feature the latest in pivot-mount master cylinder technology that offers the ultimate in balance bar efficiency, providing exceptional driver feedback and repeatable braking. Pedal assemblies are available in floor-mount, firewall-mount and overhung configurations.

Features:

· Pivot-mount master cylinders and fixed “gimbal-type” balance bar virtually eliminates the common problem of brake bias migration through braking zone.

· Billet aluminum frame and pedals with adjustable foot pads and anti-slip surface.

· Adjustable pedal ratios (4.52:1, 4.65:1, 4.78:1, 4.91:1, 5.32:1, 5.48:1, 5.63:1, 5.80:1) enable the brake pedal to be tuned to driver preference without having to change master cylinder bore size.

· 7/16”-20 balance bar provides maximum rigidity. Integrated angle limit in case of front or rear brake circuit failure. Longer clevis for increased front master cylinder stroke.

In 1972, McLane (Mac) and Adelle Tilton founded Tilton Engineering in El Segundo, California. Their mission was to supply innovative, high-quality products at fair prices and with sound advice. Mac utilized his vast racing and machining experience, most notably as Crew Chief for the 1971 & 1972 Trans Am championship winning Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) team, to develop some of the most innovative products of their time. Adelle’s excellent business sense and experience helped to ensure the long-term future of Tilton Engineering.

As Tilton Engineering’s reputation grew, demand for its products increased. Tilton relocated in 1979 to Buellton, California where it is still located today. A new custom-built headquarters was completed in 2017, which includes the full machine shop, assembly area, warehouse, office space, and a fully integrated quality assurance department.

Tilton produces a wide range of driveline and brake components, in-cockpit controls, and starter motors. Driveline components include clutches, flywheels, bellhousings, and hydraulic release bearings. Brake components and in-cockpit controls include pedal assemblies, master cylinders, balance bars, proportioning valves, and related accessories. Super Starters by Tilton were introduced in 1981 as the first high torque mini-starter for racing applications.

Tilton products are primarily designed for racing use and can be found worldwide in nearly every form of racing, winning numerous major races and championships each year. Tilton continues to expand its offerings to includes products for the high-performance street market, such as with their ST-246 line of twin plate clutches and 6000-Series hydraulic release bearings.
