Search Intent, also known as “User Intent” is the main goal a user has when typing a query into a search engine. Common types of Search Intent include informational, commercial, navigational and transactional.

For example, let’s say you want to cook up some kale for dinner. But you’re hungry and want to eat NOW.
➡ You head to Google and search for “quick kale recipes”
➡ The first result you click on looks OK at first but takes over an hour
➡ So you quickly click over to the search results to find something else
➡ The next result is a recipe that takes 10 minutes from start to finish
➡ …which is EXACTLY what you’re looking for

So make sure you're thinking like the user you want to attract. In this case, using the keywords “quick kale recipe” will satisfy the User Intent and ultimately help boost your Google ranking.
