I’m in Budapest Hungry to get my wife’s mouth fixed properly, the first time!
I don’t trust doctors in Mexico! Never have and never will.
After a lot of research we decided the price and the clinic here in Budapest was the place to go. They haven’t disappointed us at all.
I have the proper contact information included in my post. Ben speaks perfect Englishand will hook you up. We paid 5800 dollars for 8 implants and that covered our lodging.
Budapest is safe, has history, nightlife, and just an overall great atmosphere.

FYI, I received a call from GCI. They are looking into their problem of my not receiving calls from Sand Point and King Cove.
Once they say that it’s fixed, I will ask a few of you to call me.

07/04/2024

I’ve been talking with AT&T about the phone issue, and have written an email to GCI. It will help if those who try and call would document the time and date you attempted to call me. I may decide to file a loss of business claim. It won’t be a selfish act as everyone in Alaska must conduct business with the lower 48. GCI has a responsibility to fix this issue.
Also, everyone in the affected area should contact the Federal Traid commission and the FCC, about the issue. GCI is not complying with their legal obligation to serve the community.

06/04/2024

I don’t know how long it has been going on, but GCI callers can’t get through to me.
Work around:
FaceTime audio calling.
What’s App calls.
FB Messenger.
Or just text me and ask me to call.

It's been a long time coming, but I will start a new production run of Chief Mate Watch alarms, soon. Chip shortages made it impossible to manufacture new units for months. If you have a need, please get hold of me and I will give you more information

12/03/2023

I haven't been on this platform is several months, but I have news for the community. It saddens me to put this information out because I know how many of you will be impacted by this news. This spring, I will not be traveling into the Alaskan Bush towns due to health concerns.
In February, upon my return from Kodiak, I started having visual problems. After a CT scan and an MRI, three trips to doctors, and three trips to see ophthalmologists, I still don't have a definitive answer as to what is going on. Two doctors have made it clear that I shouldn't be more than 45 minutes away from a hospital with a neurologist on staff.
I will continue to support vessels in communities that have hospitals, though it will depend on how I'm feeling. The issue I have has cut my work schedule. I'm left feeling very rung out, when I have symptoms.
As to work and sales here in Bellingham. I will keep providing phone support and proper sales relationships with all of you that need services.
Lastly, Skiff Trackers: I have been working to procure the Digi radios that provide the secure transition of data, for over a year. Digi tells me that sometime in August they will have new units, but won't give a date. So, unfortunately I will not have any new units to sell this spring.
Please pass this post on to everyone in your communities.

Regards to all,
Radar Dave

Just an FYI: I have placed RND's order for more components to build Chief Mate Watch Alarms. The cost of some of the components have gone up. Some of the parts took considerable efforts to find. However, I did manage to find all of the components for the PCB, with only a couple of backorders that should be filled by the end of the month.

I do have a few in stock.

I haven't posted in quite some time. I guess I'm not a social butterfly, however, I have received an email form Comnav, and they have finally given notices that they are going to stop production of the 2001 autopilot. What parts and services they will provide moving forward, I haven't a clue, but I will be posting more about this, soon.
Today, I am in Anchorage, on my way to Sand Point. Weather is holding me back, as many of you already know.
I am looking forward to another good year. If there is anything I can do for you, please give me a call. (360) 319-6218. Have a good day,
Dave

A shout out to Lauchlin Leach, F/V Cape Flattery, for letting us solve his autopilot issues. We put a new Furuno SCX-20 on the boat, along with a new Comnav 2001. The new SCX-20 is under 1000 dollars. He was very please to not spend 3.5k for a compass.

Tired of replacing crap made bilge pump flapper. Not cheep, but this will be the last water level switch you put in. It will handle up to 40 amps, 12, 24, or 32 volts, or I can make one that works on 110VAC. SS steel flapper. Green LED let’s you know there is power applied. Red LED lights when the pump turns on.
