Providing for Paws is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that helps rescue animals in need. Providing for Paws hopes to help curb the amount of homeless animal population by the means of education. We feel education is the key to changing the number of animals entering shelters, rescues, or even abandoned. We do this by educating owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets, as well as proper pet care, such as vaccines, preventatives for flea and tick as well as heartworm. Showing families that animals make loving family pets and can do more than guard their back yard. If we are unable to educate, then we persuade the owners to surrender the animal they are not caring for properly.
Although we are unable to help people financially with medical care, we can offer several resources where low income families can receive affordable vet care, as well as very affordable spay and neuter clinics for their animals to be altered and vaccinated. If the family still cannot afford to have their animal altered and vaccinated, in some cases we can find sponsors to get the animal to a spay or neuter clinic and vaccinate. We also offer food and other supplies to help keep the animal in the home and prevent them from going to shelters and rescue groups.
If the family cannot be educated and continues to keep the animal(s) in a neglected state, then it is our duty to try and bring that animal into rescue to give it the care it needs.
