Phase one of the Bishop Love Conference Center
The Mu Rho Uplift Foundation, Inc. has partnered with the Mu Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi and Asbury United Methodist Church of Annapolis in the church’s effort to renovate and outfit three (3) existing rooms, converting them into the Bishop Love Conference Center for use by the congregation, the surrounding community and the broader Annapolis citizenry, equating to up to 39,474 persons (U.S. Census, 2015) who may be served by this endeavor. The purpose of the Conference Center will be to fill the gap in needed conference and meeting space within the City. The completed Conference Center will be dedicated to, and named for one of Omega Psi Phi’s beloved Founders, Bishop Edgar A. Love. Bishop Love pastored at Asbury from 1925-1927. He later served as Bishop of the Central Conference of the Methodist Church from 1952-1964.
