Got to play jams for my friends at CCI - COI/COI Connected tonight for their quarterly dance party - this time the theme was candyland 🙂 I always have so much fun and love seeing the individuals light up and boogie down to the tunes! The power of music is so awesome!!

Bonnaroo 2024 was awesome! Favorite shows I saw: Post Malone, Fred Again, Two Friends, and new-to-me: Hamdi, and Khruangbin. Also really enjoyed Cage the Elephant, Group Love, Seven Lions, Ashniko, RHCP, Diplo, T-Pain, Sean Paul, Galantis, and Chappell Roan. The art, people, food and drinks were all great. See you next year Roo!

During the planning for my friend’s wedding, I was so inspired by their love of EDM and the festival scene. I wanted to fulfill their vision of making their reception like a rave. I brought some cool things like my CO2 cannon, special lighting, PLUR kandi (bracelets), and led batons — but I wanted to wow them with something completely unique. So I made them a tech house track in Logic Pro (which I’ve used before but never built/produced a song from scratch). I used some loops and effects but also wrote several pieces myself or with my midi keyboard. I sent them the MP3 song a few weeks before the wedding and explained that it was a gift, and if they liked it, I would love to drop it on their dance floor at some point. But I gave them an out - if they didn’t think it was a great fit for the vibe they wanted, then they could just keep it for themselves. They loved it — and so I played it, and PEOPLE DANCED TO THE TRACK I MADE! What an amazing feeling and honor to help add this special little touch to their wedding celebration! 💕
