Mom agreed.
Husband was texted.
His response: “Beautiful.”
Sister interpreted; “Buy it.”
And in the middle of wind and raindrops I carried it and carefully placed it in the hatch of the car. Safely wrapped in moms blanket; she took it home.

From Green Bay Wisconsin
I remember the last time I was in Green Bay. During my singing days. I was booked into a hotel bar; football season.
The Packers were in town playing The Bears and the joint was full.
All was going well I until I called “Chicago”.
The piano player hesitated.
His face a stop short of shock.
I had no clue.
Called it again and as he started the intro things quieted - a bit.
Then I started in, “Chicago, Chicago that toddling town…”
Boos. Louder and louder.
I should’ve listened to the piano player 😉
Well I remember more of how I got into that mess than I remember how I got out of it-
Suffice to say; the moment passed.
Today it’s a different picture.

A year ago at at The Glen I met this couple.
It was Sunday afternoon about 15 minutes to closing time.
They were standing in front of a large landscape, honestly they were standing there for a bit of time until I stepped up -
“Can I help you?”
“We love this.”
Then he asks, “Can you tell us about it?”

So I explained the walking path I frequent and how for a long time I wanted to make an image but Fall was in full swing - the time of Fall when one day it’s beautiful and then it turns lifeless and the fall of Fall sets in - and then this particular autumn day came and it was raining. I love rain. So I took a couple of cameras and lenses and went to discover if I’d get a capture that would do the scene justice; the justice of my imagination.
As I’m explaining my process I’m watching them listening. I turn to look at it, they follow my gaze.
“The name is ‘Walk This Way.’”

She smiles.
“When are you due?” I ask.
“In 2 months…”
“Congratulations. Boy or a girl?”

“We are having a boy.”
“Name..?”
“Luke Emmanuel.”
“Beautiful, beautiful name.”

And then it was wrapped and as they left I said; “I hope to see you right here next year at Art At The Glen with Luke.”

It’s exciting to watch someone fall in love 💓 Honestly she couldn’t take her eyes off of it. Didn’t even have to walk away, let it go and see if it drew her back. I’m quiet watching her absorb the piece in her imagination; walking it room to room and deciding. Her friend offered sensitive opinions, only when asked. Sometimes it’s not that way :) of Life 💓 “Maybe in the bedroom split over each nightstand, or the staircase landing …” thinking it through. “Or the fireplace.” She hunts for a picture on her phone and now I’m looking at a fireplace with a cluster of small framed pictures. Important but they can find another place. I see the brick; “Beautiful there.” So that’s the story of Jen and her spontaneous visit to the 💓 always open and today finding 💓 I just seeing where things land so when she sent pics I was 💓
