Social media and the U.S. was upset with Tom Brady on Sunday for using the word Spaz. On that day, two people were killed and 13 injured in mass shootings around the U.S. In this country, citizens use the words f**k and s**t incessantly ( according to my own 100 yards of walking and listening poll to describe a "f**king good brownie", a f**ked up play", a s**tty government," "a f**king s**tty as***le of a governor"., "That's f**ked up."

brian’s baseball rant
FOX Announcers for WS talking way too much; let us watch the game.
brian's sports shorts: To all you baseball salary cap people read, an excellent writer, Joel Sherman's column today. It's fun when people agree with me. By the way, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Detroit, etc, lost on the field, and in the playoffs, Baltimore continued its collapse. Cleveland's manager must have had multiple aneurysms in three out of three of the best baseball games I have ever seen. The Guardians shortstop also helped the Yankee cause. Money didn't fail these teams; faulty play hurt them. NOTE: Baltimore's owner is a multibillionaire. Will their fans complain if he spends a ton signing a host of their great players; will they complain if he doesn't?
This Yankees-Dodgers World Series narrative is already so, so tired Let’s stop acting like Yankees-Dodgers in the World Series corroborates what’s wrong with the game and why a salary cap is needed.
Dude's sports shorts: On Tamps Bay's blitzing defense (Monday Night Football) V the Baltimore Raven's: "This Aggression Cannot Stand Man." It didn't, thanks for the coaching, Dude.
brian's sports shorts; News from the, fully operational, Evil Empire: Starting next week, when the Yankees begin their 41st World Series, they will account for just a hair more than 33% of the World Series played in MLB. If they play the Dodgers, it will be the 12th time.
brian's sports shorts: Give it a break already.
I was watching Dodgers v Padres when one of the announcers stated (paraphrase) that Shohei Ohtani is a far superior player than Babe Ruth. I'm not sure. Ruth played 22 years, and Ohtani is finishing his 7th. So, let's see what the next 15 years bring, or at least five, and let's see if Ohtani can pitch again, etc. Finally, Ruth basically saved the game of baseball while inventing international celebrity and is still providing impetus and standards of play that have contributed to Ohtani's (and others' remarkable contract(s).
brian's sports shorts: A while ago, I brought up something I thought was interesting. Will Adley Rutschman v Austin Wells be the new Fisk vs. Munson in a rekindled Orioles vs. Yankees rivalry? Of course, many Orioles fans howled about a Yankees fan (me) suggesting that some Yankee's bum would equal the HOF-headed Rutschman. Now, they, along with the clowns at 105.7 the Fan, are howling at their catcher and crying that they didn't draft Bobby Witt Jr. So, well, Wells will have to find his competition elsewhere.
Anyway, Rutschman will get over it and be fab again.
brian’s sports shorts: a moron on the Baltimore station the Fan is now calling out Mike Elias and thinks he needs oversight. The Orioles won 91 games this season, they also did the same to Lamar Jackson
brian's sports shorts: Orioles. It cracks me up to read all the analysis on the Orioles loss to the Royals yesterday and all the whining about the team, small ball, managerial mistakes etc. Here's what happened. Two pitchers had great starts and pitched magnificent games.
One pitcher was just a tiny bit more magnificent. The hit that won it was a groundball in the shortsop hole, the Orioles manager chose to pitch the best agains the best, not a bad move.
That's the end, that's baseball. The Orioles have an opportunity today to win and keep playing. Yesterday is over.
I just got invited to a P Diddy Thanksgiving party in the Hamptons - I have a plus one; who wants to go?
Sales of Pagers and Cell Phones drastically down in Lebanon, will this mess up the world economy or has Lebanon just banned Tik Tok.
Hezbollah exploding pager trail runs from Taiwan to Budapest The operation was an unprecedented Hezbollah security breach that saw thousands of pagers detonate across Lebanon, killing nine people and wounding nearly 3,000 others.
brian's sports shorts, MVP, MVP. News From the Death Star
The Yankees were down 5-0 in the 7th and looked horrible.
In the seventh, they get a run on a Gleyber Torres single, 4-1. The next three guys walk, the last being Juan Soto, and Aaron Judge comes to bat. He hits a grand slam. He is the best player in baseball and the Most Valuable Player in baseball. The Yankees win 5-4, and that's what MVPs do: hit grand slams late in the game while their team is down three. , ,

this could be fun; Rutschman (Orioles) v Wells (Yankees) could this be Munson v Fisk 2.0? Cool.
So, 23 years ago, at around 7 am, I left my almost brand-new beach home on Long Island's North Fork (Peconic). My new but used baby was sleeping (he was around two years old). The 110-pound locomotive of a labrador was chewing on a log; the Shepard was staring at the baby ( she was his protector) and didn't leave his side, ever. My wife was sleeping, which was unusual as she was an early riser. Anyway off to my apartment in the city (New York and the financial district) to park my motorcycle at the apt. building and headed off to a meeting that was taking place around Herald Square (near Penn Station). It was so lovely that I went a long way into the city, foregoing the LIE/495 (Long Island Expressway). I went down the North Road, through Wading River and Calverton, and wherever one could wander aimlessly from "Out East" on Long Island, west to the city. What a great day and excellent ride! I finally picked up the pace and got on to the LIE, around Mineola, and then through the Midtown Tunnel, crossing over to 7th Avenue (which goes downtown).
At a few lights, I heard some chatter about hits, the Pentagon, and weird stuff. I got to where 7th Avenue turns to Varick Street, and after just a few blocks (I guess I got to Houston Street, maybe), I saw smoke and people headed up 7th/Varick running. Smoke was behind them. I thought fire, it was bizarre, and then I heard a cabbie at a light yelling they got the Pentagon; I was intent on getting to the meeting, but I turned around and shot up Varick/7th Avenue the wrong way, crossed at I think 14th Street and headed back across town and through the midtown and back out east. I didn't know what happened, but the photos I put up each year will show you what happened. I returned to my old cottage "Out East," where my friends had gathered, and most thought I was dead; some were disappointed when I showed up. Anyway, that's what happened. My wife and I watched reports with our friends, took the baby and the dogs to the beach, and then played tennis. We didn't know what else to do. I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact times, and I had no phone or way to communicate, so I had no clue what was happening on the morning of September 11, 2001, starting around now. Again, I have attached pictures below that I put up each year.
In January 2002, I returned to my apartment 136 yards from the World Trade Center. It was fenced in, and only one other person, my good buddy and neighbor, Kevin, returned. I stayed another four years, and my wife and child never went back.
Nobody I know died, my things remained intact, and I saw no one jump from buildings as my friend did. It was a bizarre experience, but I am one lucky guy. That following Sunday, I flew out of Long Island's MacArthur Airport to somewhere. I don't know where I went, and besides the crew, I was the only one on the plane. I hope I had a good time at whatever meeting or shoot I went to.
The quote below was taken from the NY Post, so take it with a grain of salt:
"Assembly Bill 1840 sought to grant undocumented immigrants access to the state's taxpayer-funded home loan program, which provides up to $150,000 in down payment assistance for eligible first-time home buyers." The governor vetoed the bill.
Good job, governor. The idea that the bill was written and presented is beyond anything that I could think of, even as a joke. It's insulting and ridiculous.
I'm not one to fact-check my buddies at the Post, but if you're curious, feel free to verify. I was just here for the latest Yankees news, anyway.
Hey the Chiefs are playing someone tonight NBC hasn’t mentioned the other team - who are the Chiefs playing

brian's POLITICAL INSIGHTS
Because I know nothing about politics, I watched an interview last night. (I didn't last long) The subject of the interview was the sitting Vice President (a regular old pedestrian VP with an annoying cackle who is now positioned as a kind of superhero). I stayed until I had enough evidence to get a good idea of what she was about. After a benign question about fracking and the Green New Deal, she said - "I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time."
brian's insight: No matter her color which seems to be an argument starter, s*x, or whether she worked at McDonalds or not, she's equal to a stupor-inducing gasbag. The other one, a fat gasbag with red hair, made a statement in an interview about being a dictator, but only on day one, while the VP said this about day one: "Well, there are a number of things. I will tell you, first and foremost, one of my highest priorities is to do what we can to support and strengthen the middle class …"
Summation: With a population of over 350 million, these two people are the only two that have been churned up. Good job, USA.
