Our end of Tubac Road is getting ready for the big parade.

We are back open every day and have a pretty full schedule of some interesting and hopefully fun events planned. Coming up in a couple of weeks will be a soiree for Ken Singmaster--in the last couple of months, his art has changed directions--still recognizable, but definitely different. We also have a bunch of new handcrafted art and gifts, some are truly amazing. So we're glad you are back and would love for you to visit us.

OPEN ON WEEKENDS! We are only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the summer months. But don't think we aren't busy finding new treasures for you. Our summer customers are very important to us. To let you know how much we appreciate you, we'll be rolling out new art, new crafts, and new gifts, putting some popular items on sale, and offering you a cool place to chill out.

It's Open Studios Weekend
This weekend is Open Studios in Tubac and our gallery is hosting a one-day-show Uniquely Human (March 8th), featuring Barbara Kuzara. We'll end the day with an art party from 4 to 7 pm.

Oil Paint Demo
On Saturday (March 9th), watch Lisa Matta as she transforms a blank canvas into a work of art. She'll be demonstrating, answering questions, and having a good time starting at 11 am.

Free Lesson
On Sunday (March 10th), the ever-popular Roberta Rogers will be on hand (starting at 1 pm) to give tips and advice about painting with watercolors.

PHEW! We made it through the festival. Although the weather was pretty grim throughout, I didn't hear any complaints or grumbling. Artists are a wonderful tribe to be a member of. Thanks to all the dedicated customers who came out to show their support and appreciation. It makes a difference!

Free lesson with Roberta!
Here's the Good news: Starting January 11th, Roberta will demonstrate her watercolor techniques every Thursday from 2 to 4 at Tubac Art and Gifts.
Now for the GREAT news: Each Thursday she will collect raffle tickets for one free 2-hour lesson awarded at the end of the month. There will be a second prize for someone to join that 2-hour lesson for $25 and two third prize winners to join the lesson for $50 each.

"Darling, Nobody Said It Was Easy," is an original painting by Barbara Kuzara that captures the haunting essence of every woman. The artist's muted colors and blurred outlines create an ethereal quality that draws you in and beckons you to explore further.

Tomorrow at the gallery, Roberta Rogers will be demonstrating her watercolor process and answering any questions you might have. If you haven't met her yet, you'll be touched by her warmth and kindness. She can show you simple techniques that will jump your own process forward. She will explain her thoughts and feelings while she puts color to paper. In short, she'll leave you inspired.
