Meet Cindy, Founder, Owner and still current Co-operator of CR Gutters. In honor of International Women’s Day we share her story.

Did you know CR Gutters was started by a woman in 1983?

Cindy founded CR Gutters at the young age of 20 years old. She quite literally woke up and said, “I’m going to start a gutter company”.

Cindy told her parents about her dream and while her mom thought she was nuts, her dad thought it was an incredible idea. So much that he drove Cindy to the bank that day and lended her 20k to get the company started.

As you can imagine this caused a huge rift in her parents home, but Cindy’s dad didn’t care. He truly believed in her.

In true Cindy fashion (ambition and brute strength) she worked her a$$ off and built a company. She not only paid her dad back the 20k during her first year in business, she bought a home, a car AND the building for CR Gutters, in which we still operate out of today 40 years later!

In 1987 When Cindy was 24, she gave birth to her son Nick.

Nick grew up inside of CR. He spent his life coming up through the bottom ranks of the company as Cindy has always believed positions are earned. Nick started sweeping floors at the age of 7, moving into the warehouse as a stocker, eventually becoming an installer on a truck.

By 2014, Nick had been an installer on a truck for 10 years, Cindy pulled Nick who was 29, into the office and began personally training Nick to be her right hand and her eventual replacement.

Since 2015 Cindy and Nick have run CR Gutters as an incredible a mother and son team.

Over the years Cindy and Nick had always dreamed of expanding the company out of state.

In 2022 Cindy moved to Arizona, and CR Gutters made its 2nd debut.

Today CR Gutters supports a total of 52 employees.

In the last 40 years, CR Gutters was born, has raised 2 generations of family’s, survived 2008 & C19 and stayed thriving all because of; A woman and her dream.

From all of us at CR She is our strength, our mother, our mentor and our friend. She is LEGENDARY.

DID YOU KNOW?! :: We are the only gutter company to manufacture our products in house, out of our Seattle warehouse. This allows us to create our products and material completely custom to your projects needs.

Our Arizona location requires a slightly different metal blend to combat the expansion and contraction that comes with the extreme summers, and we use a custom made metal blend we made directly from the metal mill. No other company has this.

Because of this, our customers don’t have issues with their gutters buckling and oil canning, after a few summers.
