Hey Neighbors, we don’t usually do this but….

Our dearly beloved espresso machine, Simon, has died after 8 long years of faithful service. It has taken more than a week to process whether he could be revived or needs replaced and the decision has been reached to lay him to rest.
That said, as a small community building non-profit, our margins are always razor thin and this unexpected cost is putting a strain on us and our resources. Would you consider giving a small bit to help us bring high quality delicious espresso beverages back to the neighborhood? Your support means the world to us!

Our neighborhood school James A. Garfield, IPS 31 is hosting a back to school night next week and is needing volunteers! If you’re able to help would you reach out to us or them? We are going to have a booth there and are so looking forward to seeing everyone again! 🎉

Susan has been a key figure with our DATKids families - always working tirelessly to offer a safe space and a kind encouraging word for any adult or child who needs it. Several details have come to our attention this week that make us realize this event will be much more successful if we reschedule it for early fall which is perfect since our ACTUAL 10 year anniversary is in September! So, re-mark your calendars for September 26th for a great day of celebrating together at our Anniversary Golf Outing. Stay tuned for more details throughout the summer. Two of our dear friends Sarah and CoraLyn of Resilient Leadership who recently moved to Baltimore had something absolutely unthinkable happen to them this past week.
