~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quote from Dr. Radwan: βI learnt a lot during those two years. I had some great experiences being on the cutting edge of technology, but my personality fits with pediatric dentistry much more.β
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During his time as an engineer, he decided to change careers and then attended New York University on a US Army Scholarship. He graduated in 2002 with a DDS degree. Dr. Radwan joined the US Army Dental Corps in September 2002 to fulfill his service obligation and was stationed in Vilseck, Germany.
In the Army He trained on all aspects of General Dentistry including crown and bridge, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry. It was during a deployment to Iraq in 2003 where Dr. Radwan first became interested in pediatric dentistry while on outreach civil affair missions treating Iraqi civilians.
After completing his Army commitment, he pursued his interest in pediatric dentistry by completing a 2-year residency at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo, New York. During the residency he trained on all aspects of pediatric dentistry including trauma management, behavior management, sedation dentistry and dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia. The Guiding principal of Dr. Radwan's practice is to treat his patients as he would treat his own children. He strives to educate patients, parents and care-givers in a comfortable environment why and how cavities start and why he recommends (or doesn't recommend) a certain type of treatment.
He returned to California in 2007 to be with his extended family and has worked in Private Practice since returning but started his own practice in summer, 2008. He is on staff at Saint Louise Regional Hospital and in September 2009, Dr Radwan became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
