Hand crafted custom pieces to your specific needs!
After and before.
Before and after. Once the stain dries and the finish is applied it should really blend in.
Nature is beautiful! Some veneer restoration is happening on this Sunday morning.
Transformation Thursday. This Birdseye maple and mahogany chest had some serious shrinkage to its side. 😳
Before and after! Almost every project I forget to take before pictures until I’m about halfway through 🤦♂️ Not this time!
Looking at these cabinets you wouldn’t think they started out in pieces. Very pleased with the outcome!
Well the final piece of trim has been tweaked and installed which just about wraps up these stands! Finished pictures coming soon…
Theirs and mine. I would say it’s a pretty good match 🤛🏼
This piece of trim is a little challenging to replicate but it’s shaping along nicely. I’ll get it as close as I can with the router table and then I’ll shape the rest with my card scraper.
On the left: a 150 year old piece of trim needing to be replicated on a piece of fine antique furniture. On the right: the piece I fabricated to match. Now just to apply the stain and finish.
This antique Mahogany table is in need of some TLC!
This antique drop leaf stand is need of some TLC.
Curly cherry and birdseye maple on top of some beefy industrial legs.
Fancy!
This Curly cherry and Birdseye quilted maple combo will become the top to some beefy antique industrial legs!
One thing about veneer old vs new. The older veneer wasn’t as consistent with thickness. So here I have to double up. I’m using ca glue to make short work of this glue up!
Trying to match grain patterns when patching veneer is quite riveting! Once a coat of finish is applied it will blend nicely!
Update on the antique cylinder desk. I cut, fit, and applied beautiful mahogany crotch veneer to the interior panels. This is after one dry coat of armrseal. More to come!
About to get funky with this antique cylinder desk restoration! Stay tuned!
Really before...before...and after 🤣. The interior is all wrapped up and looking snazzy. Soon this project will come to an end. 👊🍺
The outside was missing one walnut square. I took some measurements 📏 and whipped a new one up. It fits ok I guess 😉
All but three pieces were saved after all of these years. Talk about a sweet chest! Now it’s time to fabricate some new pieces of trim!
Every now and then you come across something in your travels that speaks to you. This antique carpenters tool chest did just that. I am very honored to have the opportunity to bring this back to its former glory. Figuring out the architectural trim work is going to be quite the puzzle!
Before and after! I was fortunate to bring this back to life!
Available.
A little before and after on the top! Reason number 5937 why Arm-R-Seal is the best!
Not much making is going on right now due to restoration taking over my life 🤣 However, I feel it is equally enjoyable. This AWESOME solid walnut burl front server is next on the list!
