Our 4th graders had a blast exploring the microscopic world today! This hands-on experience not only sparks curiosity but also helps students better understand the building blocks of life.

It's incredible to see our young scientists so engaged and eager to learn!

Runge High School Homecoming Court

Yellowjacket Nation,

I am writing to inform you about an unexpected change to our varsity volleyball game schedule. Initially, we were set to host Kenedy High School tomorrow for a match. However, prior to a change in our coaching staff, a scheduling adjustment was made that was unfortunately not communicated to other members of our coaching team or administration.

As a result, Kenedy High School has scheduled a new game for tomorrow, leaving our Lady Jackets without an opponent. Coaches Ramirez and Bode have been working diligently to find another team for a match, but at this time, everyone is already scheduled to play.

I want to take full responsibility for this oversight. While my expectation has always been that no changes should be made to official schedules without administrative approval, I recognize that I did not make this expectation clear enough. As the superintendent, it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure our processes are followed correctly, and I will work to prevent this from happening in the future.

Our students deserve every opportunity to play, and I am committed to ensuring better oversight so this situation does not occur again. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our students and athletic programs.

UPDATE: The HOLD has been lifted at 11:27 am.

Runge ISD is currently in “HOLD” status due to law enforcement activity in the area of the school.

The District is currently in “HOLD” status, meaning students are remaining in their classrooms.

We will update when the hold is lifted.

September is Attendance Awareness Month.

Runge ISD is here to help remedy whatever obstacles may be stopping a child from attending school. If you receive an attendance letter from the District, please do not hesitate to contact us to see how we can assist you.
