Early events in our local history include the arrival of the railroad, the town’s incorporation, as well as more recent milestones such as the arrival of UC Merced. Bring your bike and helmet to get inspected! Merced PD will be conducting free inspections, on March 30th, 2023, from 1pm-3pm outside Merced College!

Merced County’s AccessMerced Broadband page is now up and running and includes links for our broadband survey. The purpose of this survey is to assess the availability and quality of internet service within Merced County to ensure everyone has the access they need to be a part of the digital economy and online society. The survey will be available until December 18, 2022. Please help us promote the Broadband Survey by sharing with your students and by sharing the link on your website/social media. The survey will be available until December 18, 2022. You can also share the survey link with other organizations that you work with to ensure we’re reaching as many people as possible. Paper surveys are also available at the County Administration Building, Merced City Hall and all Merced County Libraries for those who do not have internet access.
