The Conrad Cares organization continues to surpass expectations. The great employees of our Amelia, LA Shipyard donated gifts to the Christmas Elves organization and adopted several local families to sponsor for Christmas to ensure as many children as possible experience the joy of Christmas. It is all attributable to the great efforts by employees that make this possible. Conrad Cares is an employee driven and led philanthropic organization that does everything they can to help our local community!

As part of Conrad Cares, our Deepwater Repair yard partnered with Christmas Elves, a local non-profit organization, supporting 6 local families to provide Christmas gifts for their children. Christmas Elves furnished Deepwater Repair with the wish lists for each child. Our employees are overjoyed that we were able to provide all the items on their wish list plus a few bonuses! The gracious employees of Conrad Shipyard’s Front St. location collected and distributed toys to the local children. Our employees are always willing to contribute to our wonderful Conrad Cares programs. Conrad Cares is an employee-led philanthropic group that gets together to help people in our local community. It was a great effort and contribution from our coworkers at Front St.

HSE Specialist Doyle Dennis and his wife represented Santa last week at JS Aucoin in Amelia. Conrad Cares committee assisted with gifts for the children and books that were donated to the reading vending machine.

What a great day and season to put smiles on kids faces.

Conrad Shipyard Deepwater South facility accepted donations of toys, blankets, clothing etc. to send to St. Jude Children's Hospital as a part of our Conrad Cares Christmas Fundraiser. We hope these items reach the hands of the beautiful children and put some smiles on their faces during this holiday season.

Conrad Cares group organized and collected food for the Thanksgiving season to donate to St. Mary Outreach. We want to thank the numerous employees who contributed to this cause to help make someone else’s Thanksgiving special. We have numerous people and families in the area that are not as fortunate and rely on services like St. Mary Outreach. Thank you for your support of our community Conrad Cares as well as St. Mary Outreach.

Last week, members of “Conrad Cares” delivered jackets to elementary schools in the area for kids who may be in need as the weather gets colder this holiday season.Conrad Cares is an employee based philanthropic group that does several fundraisers and donations throughout the year including jackets, school supplies, teacher gifts, food drives, and delivering turkeys to the local food bank during the holidays.

Last Thursday, Conrad Shipyard Amelia hosted a Thanksgiving Potluck. There was plenty to be thankful for and everyone shared a meal and discussed how thankful they were for the feats Conrad Amelia has accomplished in the past year. Great job to everyone on the team!

On Friday, September 15th, the Conrad Shipyard Orange TX Conrad Cares team joined forces with United Way of Orange County to help a local non-profit organization during the Day of Caring!

They visited the Spindletop Center and gave their gazebo a clean and fresh coat of paint to brighten it up.

Here at Conrad, we find that helping our community isn’t always hard work and can be quite fun! It’s always an enjoyable experience when we are doing what we can for others, who do so much for the families here in Orange County.

We would like to congratulate Charlie Garcia for being selected as Conrad Amelia’s Safety Employee of the Month for September 2023. Charlie has been with Conrad for 4 years, and is someone who not only looks out for his own safety, but also the safety of his fellow co-workers. We would like to thank Charlie for this dedication to safety and his efforts to help promote Conrad’s safety culture.

The Conrad Shipyard Orange, TX Conrad Cares team worked hard in the heat this morning to clean up Border Street! Thank you to the employees who participated in this community cleanup event.

Congratulations to Conrad Shipyard Front St. August Employee of the Month Mr. Daniel Washington


Mr. Washington is a very skilled fitter with over 20 years of experience. Mr. Washington does shop fabrication and small part work in shop 5. He has a mindset on safety and safety is his #1 priority.

We would like to congratulate David Castro for being chosen as the Amelia Safety Employee of the Month for August 2023. David has only been with Conrad for 4 months, but can be counted on to ensure all safety practices are followed and all hazards are reported timely. We would like to thank David for his dedication to safety and his efforts to promote Conrad’s safety culture.

We would like to congratulate Mr. Lorenzo Bravo for being chosen as Conrad Front Street's Employee of the Month for July, 2023. Lorenzo is a pipe crew helper that has a tremendous work ethic and is very safety conscious. Lorenzo is one of the guys that will go the extra mile to help a fellow co-worker. He has recently moved to the night crew when the pipe crew needed extra hands. His dependability and keen eye for a safe culture has earned him Employee of the Month.

We would like to congratulate Lemuel Vazquez for being chosen as the Amelia Safety Employee of the Month for July 2023. Lemuel has been with Conrad for almost 3 years and is being recognized by his supervisor as an employee who goes out of his way to look after the safety of those around him.
