We are so excited about our new location Hope Center Ministries - Florence, SC Womens this is another location that will help women overcome addiction and see lives, families and the community restored!

Traci Nichols along with Casea Love, Sue Ann Frazier and Ashley Maynard Kelly from Hope Center Ministries and Chamber Ambassadors cut their ribbon joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and announcing their presence in Florence.

Hope Center Ministries, started in 2007 in Waverly, TN, is a faith-based addiction recovery program headquartered out of Oklahoma City, OK. They provide a Christ-centric approach to recovery that allows addicts and their families to become fully devoted followers of Christ in a supportive, residential environment. They foster a strong foundation of faith in their residents, supported by their community and church partners, with a focus on family at every step in the recovery journey. Through deep study of scripture, vocational training opportunities, and weekly 12-step study work through Celebrate Recovery. They create a pathway for individuals to achieve not just sobriety but lasting recovery from their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

In the 17 years that Hope Center Ministries has existed, they have grown to over 150 employees and more than 50 Centers nationwide, with their Florence Center being opened early in 2024 and more coming every year. They are proud of the transformations that they see daily in the lives of the residents and their families, and they believe wholly in their mission to bring recovery (and Hope!) to as many as possible

From everyone at Hope Center Ministries, thank you so much again to the men and women of 24 church and to all who came out to support us as we look forward to this new chapter for our Ministry. The purpose of any good ministry is to grow, and on March 27th, Hope Center Ministries celebrated the latest step in our growth with the groundbreaking of a new Men's Center in Dickson, Tennessee.

When completed the Dickson Men's Center will join our Dickson Women's Center in service by providing an opportunity for the men of Dickson County to experience lasting recovery through faith in Christ. Boasting a 6000 square foot floor plan once operational, the Men's Center will feature 2 large hangout spaces for residents, counseling offices, a full upstairs deck space and tankless water heaters for unlimited hot water, as well as access to a full gym space and a basketball court for recreation in our residents' off-time.

Construction is well underway since breaking ground just a few months ago, and we're excited to share our progress!

The Dickson Men's Home is only one of the new centers that are coming soon for Hope Center Ministries, and we're always looking for new areas and sponsor churches to partner with to spread our message and offer the opportunity for lasting recovery to the places that need it most.

Visit our website today to donate to the Dickson Men's Center project, and learn how you can help Hope Center achieve our mission to help addicts and their families become devoted followers of Christ!

Welcome back to another Transformation Tuesday — our weekly opportunity to recognize an exceptional story of change in the lives of one of our residents. This week, we're recognizing the transformation of Waverly, TN graduate Chad Barbe!

From growing up outside the influence of the church and having no concept of Christ to opening up new ministries in the same county that had kept him in prison only 5 short years ago, Chad's story is one of the true life changes that are possible when embracing faith as a driver for spiritual transformation.

Click the link below for Chad's full story, and to learn more about what Hope Center Ministries is doing in the lives of our residents!

Pleasant View, we're looking at you!

On Sunday, July 7th, the men and women of 24 Church showed up in force to help our center in Pleasant View, TN get ready to welcome a new group of residents, and the transformation they were able to accomplish in just a day of service has been astounding!

With over 300 volunteers in attendance there's almost certainly too much to list when it comes to the work that was done, but here are some highlights!

- The quarter-mile driveway was completely redone
- A new parking area was completed
- Multiple landscaping milestones were finished
- A new administrative office had sheetrock both hung and finished
- All beds and lockers for residents were built
- Several rooms were painted
- All wall decor was hung
- And so much more!

At Hope Center Ministries our sponsor churches are our strength not only when it comes to getting new centers off the ground, but in establishing a spiritual home for our residents as they move through our program. One of the most common points of praise that we hear from graduates is that they credit the support they receive from the church as being a cornerstone of their continued sobriety, and the relationship that they build with their church in Hope Center is only the beginning of that journey.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the men and women of 24 Church in Pleasant View, to all the volunteers who came out this Sunday to turn our house into a home, and to all who help our incoming residents feel welcomed and ready to experience the lasting peace that comes with a commitment to a life of sobriety with God as the centerpiece.

If you'd like to donate to the Pleasant View Center as they get ready to begin taking residents, or want to learn more about what it takes to start a new Hope Center in your area, visit our website today!

🎆 Happy 4th of July from Hope Center Ministries! 🎆

Here at Hope Center, some of the most important values that we hold dear are those of freedom, faith, unity, and resilience — and what better day to celebrate those values than today?

As we all enjoy the fireworks, the BBQs and time with family under the sun, we also take time to reflect on the many blessings God has offered our great nation and the sacrifices of all who have served her in the past 248 years. May we all strive to uphold the spirit of love, bravery and equality that underlies these United States, and may we honor their sacrifices the best way we know how: by celebrating that they still ring true!

From our Hope Center family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful (and safe!) Fourth of July!
God Bless America, and God Bless our troops!

As Transformation Tuesday comes around again, we'd like to take this week to celebrate the journey of John Collom!

For years John struggled with substance abuse, feeling trapped in a cycle of addiction and despair. When one becomes stuck in these cycles it's very easy to believe that there's simply nothing left for us; but in Hope Center Ministries John found not only sobriety, but a renewed sense of purpose, connection and community in our Lord and Savior.

And like all good stories, it doesn't end there! Click below to read more about John's incredible transformation through faith.

Today was a home run of a day! Our TN and MO centers came together for our second annual Jordan Hale Softball Tournament, living out one of our core values: We have fun, laugh hard, and embrace adventure. Discovering the fun in recovery is all about moments like these!

With 18 locations battling it out for the coveted first-place baseball bat trophy and over 700 people in attendance, the day was filled with excitement, laughter, and community spirit.

This tournament was extra special as we honored Jordan Hale, who sadly passed in 2023 due to his struggle with addiction. Jordan's spirit of perseverance and love for life inspired us all. His mom joined us, making this day even more meaningful.

Congratulations to the winners of today’s tournament, the Camden Men's Center and the Paris Women's Center! 🎉

Check out the amazing pics from the day, including a heartfelt moment with Jordan's mom and our national director. Together, we're not just playing ball—we're building community, celebrating recovery, and cherishing memories.

Here’s to the joy of recovery, the strength of community, and the adventure that lies ahead!

June is Men's Health Awareness Month, and as we at Hope Center Ministries take a moment to recognize the health issues faced by men of all ages across the world, we believe it's also important to discuss why some of these issues are so challenging to address in the first place.

According to Dr. Helen Bernie of the Indiana University School of Medicine, "Men are significantly less likely than women to see a doctor or report symptoms to a health care provider. Only 60 percent of men go to the doctor for a yearly, routine check-up, and 40 percent won’t go until something is seriously wrong."

One of the most important reasons for the existence of Men's Health Awareness Month is to emphasize the importance of preventative medical care, including regular check-ups to catch potential issues before they have a chance to develop into something life-threatening. With so many men forgoing this kind of preventative care, it's no surprise that the mortality rate is "41 percent higher for men than women, and [is] higher for men for 8 out of 10 leading causes of death—including heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes" according to the Population Reference Bureau website.

Physical health is only part of the problem however: Men's Health Awareness Month also works to promote mental health awareness and encourages men to seek support for issues like depression, anxiety, and stress. At Hope Center Ministries we understand that seeking help may not always be easy, and the social stigma surrounding mental health for men only serves to make that more difficult. It's one of the reasons we work so hard to create a guilt-free, supportive environment for our residents to overcome the burdens that they enter our program with.

As men, we want to do everything in our power to 'keep the wheels on' for as long as we can, even when it means ignoring that a problem may exist. This Men's Health Awareness Month however, we encourage you to take time to ensure that there truly is nothing to worry about. Your loved ones will thank you, and you deserve the peace of mind.

From Hope Center Ministries, we wish you a happy (and healthy!) Men's Health Awareness Month.

At Hope Center Ministries, we know that there are times when we have to be brought low before we can begin to build ourselves back up anew. This process is never easy, but it's often necessary to experience true change. We celebrate this transformation in all of our residents, and this Tuesday we do so through the testimony of Jon Rigney.

Prior to coming to Hope Center Ministries, Jon was no stranger to what he describes as the 'Church Life'. As the son of a fundamentalist preacher in the Independent Baptist tradition, he was given visions of Fire and Brimstone straight from the pulpit and at home from a young age; but like many, Jon came away from these sermons experiencing not peace, but fear — of a God he felt he barely understood.

In his teen years Jon was drawn toward drugs, and believed he had finally found the peace that had for so long eluded him in church. He, like so many others, loved the sin that he found himself engulfed in, but over time found that this peace was counterfeit. On July 27th, 2019, Jon found his turning point. Through repentance and deep study of Scripture, Jon began a long journey of both physical and spiritual recovery.

While completing his program with Hope Center, Jon found purpose through service to others as both a First Phase Leader and Cook for the house, and continued this service through an Apprenticeship at our Axton, VA location. Following his apprenticeship Jon went on to become the Campus Director for our Mt. Airy, NC location, where he continues to serve those in need as he was so graciously served by others before him.

In Jon's own words, "I can't fully understand all of it. It makes no sense to me sometimes. I am so undeserving of God's grace, but instead of looking at my merit, He looked at my need for Him."

Thank you Jon for sharing this powerful testimony, and for continuing to serve as a role model for the men of our Mt. Airy campus and beyond!

At Hope Center, we often celebrate the stories of residents who’ve overcome their legal troubles, but rarely do we see a show of celebration for a resident from the judge themselves!

Only 14 months ago, Stevie Ray Tawkoyty found himself facing a potential sentence of up to 15 years behind bars for a trafficking-related charge. The judge in his case was doubtful that Stevie Ray had the ability or the desire to change, going so far as to tell him that he was ‘in a death spiral’ if he didn’t find a way to turn his life around.

Luckily, Stevie Ray soon found himself with exactly that opportunity for change by way of Hope Center Ministries. Through his acts of service as a Community Leader for the Bethany, OK location and now his internship for the position of Recovery Pastor, Stevie Ray has acted as a shining example of the new lease on life that faith in Christ can bring. And clearly we’re not the only ones who think so!

Earlier today Stevie Ray went before the court for arraignment on the charges he’d received prior to his program with Hope Center, and both the Judge and the District Attorney were blown away by the incredible transformation he’s made in his life over the past year. The judge went so far as to not only congratulate him on his progress in recovery but dismiss his previous charges entirely. While he may have been a bit nervous walking in to that courtroom, with God at his side Stevie Ray was able to walk out a free man!

On behalf of our residents everywhere, thank you Stevie Ray for reminding us that through faith, nothing in our lives is too big to overcome!

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” - James 1:12

Transformation Tuesday is here, and today, we're shining a spotlight on the incredible recovery journey of Daniel White, whose life underwent a remarkable turnaround through the power of his faith in Jesus Christ!

From the early age of 14, Daniel found himself locked in a battle with drugs and alcohol. Like many others, he didn't start out using every day, but over time found that what began as enjoyment and escape had quickly become a daily pattern of abuse in an effort to 'just feel normal'.

Daniel began his program with our Hohenwald, TN location on March 5th, 2021, and from then on embarked on a journey of true spiritual reconciliation and recovery. At first this lifestyle change was difficult, but Daniel quickly found that where he'd started off simply doing his best to adhere to the program and stay out of trouble, he now had a genuine desire to live each day with Christ by his side.

After completing his program in March of 2022, Daniel went on to intern with Hope Center Ministries, before becoming the full-time Recovery Pastor for the same Hohenwald, TN men's center that he credits with saving his life from addiction. Where Daniel started his recovery journey with nothing, he now has not only the simple comforts of life such as a car and a home, but the love of his wife Natasha, who he was recently blessed to marry, and a spiritual home in the community of Hope Center Ministries.

In Daniel's own words, "Jesus Christ delivered me, but Hope Center taught me how to be a Godly man, and how to live a Godly lifestyle."

Daniel's story is a testament to the kind of change that we recognize in all of our residents, and one reason among many that we recognize him this Transformation Tuesday!

For those battling drug addiction, finding strength in faith can be a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. Through this strength, we are empowered towards true life change, and this Transformation Tuesday, we celebrate that incredible success story through Angela Bandy!

Angie began her recovery journey with Hope Center Ministries at our Portland, TN Women's Center in June 2021. At the time she was on a temporary furlough from prison, with a potential 10-year sentence hanging over her head for drug-related offenses. Far from taking this second chance for granted however, Angie states that after only 30 days in Hope Center, she felt a personal call from God to "fight the good fight", and quickly distinguished herself by taking an interest not just in her own recovery, but in the way she could make an impact on the journeys of all of those around her.

After completing her program in 2022, Angie continued her path of service with Hope Center; first as a Campus Director Intern, and then as a full Campus Director in her own right for our Women's Center in Wytheville, VA! Angie describes being scared of leaving everything and everyone that she knew behind, but that she knew in her heart that it was her calling and that with Hope Center Ministries, helping others, was exactly where she needed to be.

Angie will soon be bringing her recovery full circle and returning to where that journey all began: our Portland, TN Women's Center. This time not as a resident, but as its new Director! We recognize Angie as a living testament to the power of faith-based recovery and for all her hard work inspiring others on their own journeys of healing and transformation.

Shedding Light: Anxiety & Addiction

Let's talk about something that's usually kept quiet: how anxiety and addiction are connected. For lots of people, dealing with addiction also means dealing with anxiety, making them feel even more scared, worried, and alone.

The Anxiety and Depression Association of America estimates that 20 percent of individuals diagnosed with an anxiety disorder also have a substance use disorder.

At Hope Center Ministries, we're here to help people who are struggling with anxiety and have problems with using drugs or alcohol. With God's help, we can change their story, turning sadness into hope and darkness into brightness.

At Hope Center Ministries we celebrate our residents and the power of faith to transform their lives for the better.

On this Transformation Tuesday we congratulate Mr. Leo Morris from our Clarksville, Tennessee facility on an incredible recovery journey!

When Leo first came to Hope Center Ministries he did so with only hours to live due to a leg infection resulting from years of living on the street. In the ~18 months since Leo began his recovery he's become a Community Leader for the Clarksville house, completed his program, and continued serving as Night Monitor. Perhaps most importantly, he restored his relationship with his children and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

If you or a loved one are currently struggling with addiction, please don't wait. Contact our team today at 1-833-697-1947 to learn how Hope Center Ministries can help you experience God's transformation in your life!

Depression & Addiction

It's time to shed light on a reality often hidden in the shadows: depression and addiction walk hand in hand for far too many. The struggle against substance abuse can deepen feelings of loneliness, sadness, and hopelessness, amplifying the grip of depression.

Did you know? An estimated one-third of individuals battling major depression also grapple with alcohol-related issues.

But there is hope. Together, we can break the silence and offer a beacon of light in the darkness.

Give us a call today to see how we can help!

Transforming Lives!!

Embracing sobriety isn't just about saying no to substances; it's about saying yes to a life transformed by grace and purpose. In Christ, old habits fade away, replaced by a new way of living, filled with hope, joy, and freedom.
