This past Tuesday, the traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, “The Wall That Heals” made its way through town. Some members of our Home Bank family had the honor of waving American flags to welcome “The Wall That Heals”.

The replica is now on display at the Morgan County Fairgrounds through Sunday, August 18.

We are excited to announce the recipient of the Home Bank Gene Levell Scholarship is Madeline Moscrip! Madeline graduated with honors from Martinsville High School and plans to study nursing in college. She was the President of the National Honor Society, played varsity soccer, participated in track & field and the Student Athletic Leadership team, and was a tutor. Join us in wishing her the best!

We are excited to announce our recipient of the Home Bank Ruth Rusie scholarship, Emma Heacock, a graduate of Martinsville High School. Emma graduated with an Academic Honors Diploma and competed in the Academic Decathlon, Academic Super Bowl, Academic Spell Bowl, and Academic Quiz Bowl.

She was also a Bradford Wood Plus Senior, National Honor Society tutor, member of the Martinsville Marching Artesians & Indoor Percussion, and participated in several theater productions. Join us in wishing her the best as she plans to study chemical engineering next year!

In addition to receiving the scholarship, Home Bank donates $500 to the non-profit of the recipient’s choice. Emma chose to support the

The recipient of the Home Bank Jim Johnson scholarship is Ciera Nelson! Ciera is a graduate of Martinsville High School. Outside of her schoolwork she has dedicated time to First Baptist Church and their pizza tent at the fair, helping with the cheeseball fundraiser, Vacation Bible School and White River clean up. Ciera also participated in mission trips in Kentucky, helping families that had experienced tornado damage. She will be studying education to become an elementary teacher. Join us in wishing her the best!
