Great news confirmed for Social Security recipients --
An 8.7% increase in cost of living adjustment (COLA) - the biggest increase since 1981!
It's an average added monthly benefit of $144 for individuals and $240 extra for couples filing jointly.

Many are asking if a change in Medicare costs will negate the benefit, but the reality is that most Medicare prices are dropping. The standard Medicare Part B premium is decreasing by about 3%, down $5.20 to $164.90. The average premiums for Parts C and D are also going down. The Part A (hospital) deductible is INcreasing from $1,566 to $1,600, and the Part B (outpatient) deductible is going down from $233 to $226.
