Don't forget tonight is our last pep band! Even though there is no school today we will still perform at tonight's game! Report at 5:30 for warm up. We will play halftime of the JV game, in between JV and Varsity, Varsity half time and then you're dismissed or may stay in the student section! See you tonight!

What is the Quarter Note club? Think of "Principal's Math Club" but with having to name notes instead of doing math problems! They had 6 minutes to name 100 notes! We will hopefully add some more members in a few weeks when we try again!

Another busy week for the Spartan Band! Don't forget our Concert is December 7th! It's hard to believe that's next week already!

Happy Monday! I hope you have all had a restful Thanksgiving break filled with love, family, and great food! When we get back to it tomorrow we only will have 8 rehearsals until our concert! (Hint hint- mark your calendars for our concert December 7th at 6:30pm)

And I am so excited to announce our next Master Class! We are so excited that former Spartan Band member Frankowski will be presenting to our low brass students on December 19th, after school at 3:15. All Students 5-12th grade are encouraged to attend!

Today as I reflect on 2023 I am thankful for so much, but I am most thankful to be with my true band family. Being the band director at Springfield is a blessing to me, and I am thankful to be home with all of my beautiful Spartans ❤️ Have a blessed thanksgiving!

Thank you again to everyone who came out to the Uncle Tito's Fundraiser, and thank you to the owner, management, and staff for their hard work that evening! We are so grateful for your support, and your support for the TV Band family as well!

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this week already! Where has November gone?!? Jazz Band on Tuesday this week, and then enjoy your Thanksgiving Break! No School 11/23-11/26- enjoy your 5 day weekend!

I couldn't write this post yesterday because it was so so real. All I could think about is how devastating it is not only for the community, but for their band family. I cannot imagine losing a band student, let alone 3. To help the Tusky Valley Band in their time of need, we've decided to do a fundraiser for them. We are selling shirts, for $12 and $15 with nearly $6 on average per shirt going to their booster program. We will collect shirt orders and money until November 29th. Attached is the form. I will have extra copies in the SHS Main office as well as the band room for anyone who would like to place an order. We know that the money raised can never bring back those lost, but we want to show our support and love!
