Skip to 2:40 to bypass the BS. TOOL - Sober This song took me an embarrassingly long time to get a usable take and this one is far from perfect. This was my 5th long take. Some people make all this look easy. It is not for me, so I thought I would offer a different perspective on shooting a video by yourself.
You guys! BilT Guitars custom double neck Merc. Bass on top, guitar on bottom. This thing has been a long process to get done right, is ridiculously awesome and I couldn’t be happier with it! Huge thanks to everyone at Bilt Guitars, right here in Des Moines. They continue to do really good things and make a name for themselves. I am grateful to be the owner of this guitar. I’m bringing it to The Republic on Grand tonight. 6-9pm. It’s either gonna be epic or a complete disaster (I got the guitar yesterday)… I have found I can’t keep my eyes off either situation so it will be entertaining regardless

Skateboarding is something I picked up when Covid started (April 2020) and probably the hardest skill I’ve ever attempted to tackle. I had never done it a day in my life, but like anything in life that gives me joy, I got completely addicted and skateboarded as much as a middle aged man possibly could. I’m talking hundreds of hours over summer 2020. Also true to form, my addiction became detrimental to my health as I was taking risks my skill level was not ready for. Within 5 months, along with countless scrapes, bumps and bruises, I acquired an injured wrist, a severely sprained ankle, a bruised hip like nothing I’ve ever experienced and a cracked helmet concussion. I was quickly forced to reevaluate whether this midlife crisis was something I should continue with. After a hiatus of over a year, I have been jonesing to get back at it… but this time, with a new mind set. I’m not out to attempt tricks outside my skill level, or be determined to out skate the teenagers at the skate park. I just want to have an excuse to get outside, burn some calories, have some fun and not hurt my old ass. I’m hoping with some maturity I’ve gained in the last year, I can accomplish this and slowly get more tricks under my belt. This particular trick is a very unstable axle stall at Legion Park near Valley Junction. I’m not exactly sure why I refrained from posting anything about skateboarding previously but in an attempt to stay active, I plan to get out there as much as possible. I’ll always be a kid at heart and am not ready to give up on childish aspirations. I just need to do it with an adults perspective if that makes any sense at all. Hopefully I can stay within my abilities and not regret trying to stay young forever.
Insane one man band!!! Bruce Day covers Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
Please share!!!
Here's a fun cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. It has been a lot of fun (and a bit of an undertaking 😳) working with the #rolanddrums SPD-SX in combination with my #tchelicon Voicelive 3 looper.
One dude sounding like a full band on cell phone recording. Bruce Day performs Ride by Twenty One Pilots #brucedayrocks #twentyonepilots #tcheliconvoicelive3 #digitechwhammy #laneycub12r (not in frame) #mxrguitarpedals
Wanted to give you guys a taste of what I've been working on in absence of the band even of it just a phone recording. Very excited to continue to expand my capabilities and think about things from a different perspective. Let me know what you think!
