Delivering on a promise. Last Friday, during the winter storm, we made a delivery to a project off the Blue Ridge Parkway because we made a commitment to the contractor. While most would have shied away (looking at you Amazon, USPS), James has been making deliveries for Gaston & Wyatt for over 25 years. Although he couldn’t make it up the driveway, he made sure everything made it safely to the site via smaller trucks. Thank you, James!

We are honored to be 2021 John Russell Pope Award winners in the category of Artisanship! Our project with - “Indoor/Outdoor Retreat in Connecticut” – was designed to be as functional as it is beautiful, with built-in cabinetry and a seated bar, wall paneling, a pair of entry doors, a mantel with hand carving, and wood accents for a barreled ceiling. The materials for the project were creative – quartersawn white oak, knotty heart pine, and cherry were meticulously blended to create warmth and depth. Doors from the bar lead to an outdoor space for entertaining, cooking, and relaxing. The highlight of this area is a masterful pergola constructed from Western red cedar which serves as the most prominent feature on the rear façade of the home. A true testament to and
