East End Buzz

Just saw this REALLY WONDERFUL movie. I imagined Robert De Niro would have a small cameo role, but in fact, he’s one of the main characters. ALL the acting is so good and brilliant script. It’s a very complex storyline about a father (a standup comedian) and his autistic son, but it’s brilliant the way it unfolds and raises so many questions about how we relate to those on the autism spectrum and educate them.

Catch it at the new North Fork Cultural Arts Center in Greenport. The world premiere last night was a sellout at $100 a ticket. I saw it less than 24 hours later for $14 (senior discount) and had a perfect uninterrupted view center. GO SEE IT!!

Fantastic native plant event this morning at Corchaug Down’s Preserve. I was kindly gifted a black cherry (Prunus serotina), which will be fantastic close to the boundary line as shown by the red square in the photo below. It grows to 25ft, which will be perfect to block a driveway there. Tons of other goodies at the event, and such valuable info on invasive species! Gee, everything in my yard is invasive!!! I had to leave before the main trail walk to get back to the “dog/cat issue”, but I’ll be sharing into over the coming season on a new FB page. Thank you to Group for the East End, Nancy and lots of new friends I can’t tag!

Currently emerging in our garden, including the fenced in dog run. Benny discovered this today, so I needed to check it out. I knew it had human benefits, but wasn’t sure about dogs. No worries!

Cleavers is recommended for dogs by many holistic vets and canine nutritionists. In fact a great many dogs value and enjoy cleavers so much, they actually pick and eat them themselves!

Another happy client! Really enjoyed this project - revamping the logo, designing and building a new site from the ground up. They've had a traditional html website for over 20 years, so switching to the Squarespace platform was a huge leap, but will be much easier for them to make minor changes themselves instead of having to rely on a web designer for every little thing.
