I fought in Iraq, Israel has a sacred obligation to protect innocents that all those in uniform share 22/12/2023

It's a good opinion piece IMHO, doesn't lead to a Pyrrhic but logical victory, right?

According to the Seth Moulton's article of the situation in his eyes, a 4-tour in Iraq veteran who witnessed a KIA during his example that made him feel good to be an American, "...Biden has been castigated for using the term "indiscriminate" to characterize Israel’s bombing campaign. While the IDF has a long history of going to exceptional lengths to avert civilian casualties, a record more impressive, I would argue, than that of any military in the world, it’s hard to make the case they are doing so today.

IDF troops are so quick to shoot that they killed three Israeli hostages last week, and recent reports revealed that only slightly more than half their air-to-ground munitions are guided or "smart" bombs that they are using in urban areas to limit collateral damage, something the U.S. has done for decades.

I’ve always argued that it is essential Israel succeeds in its core mission, to eliminate Hamas. At the end of the day, getting rid of Hamas is critical not just for Israel’s security but for Palestinian human rights; nobody wants to live under a government that uses civilians as human shields..."

I fought in Iraq, Israel has a sacred obligation to protect innocents that all those in uniform share Fighting with the Marines in Iraq, I learned tough lessons that Israel must also understand in Gaza. The IDF has must protect innocents or end up creating more terrorists.

Our Story

This page is dedicated to the USA KIA/DOW Family Foundation (USAKIA), a nonprofit organization that benefits families of those killed in action (KIA) and died of wounds (DOW). They were our family members, friends, and countrymen serving in our U.S. armed forces, our fellow human beings killed by other human beings in military actions with hostile forces against our nation. We honor them and their families for their selfless sacrifice for God and our country.

The DOW casualty classification is also known as "died of wounds received in action" or DWRIA. Our government's description of these casualty classifications has changed over the years; e.g. front-line combat troops only received the designation at one time. However, those currently classified as KIA sustain wounds in hostile action, but these soldiers, sailors, marines, and/or airmen do not make it to a medical-treatment facility. Those classified as DOW make it to a medical treatment facility before succumbing to their wounds received in battle against hostile forces against the United States of America in military actions. Both classifications also receive the Purple Heart. The Pentagon does not currently classify those killed by terrorist actions as KIA or DOW (DWRIA).

Current USAKIA programs include the KIA Family Art Project (KIAFAP) administered by a renowned artist named Rick Kelley. Rick calls the program "The Families of the Fallen Art Donation" at his Website. Kin of those KIA and DOW in Iraq and Afghanistan receive a framed piece of art completely free with the program. USAKIA spent over $12,000 on these free pieces of framed art in 2013 alone, providing hundreds of families of the fallen with them since the program began that year. See http://kelleyfineart.com for further information.
