We hope everyone had a safe 4th of July! We had two amazing firework displays at our residential programs. This was our 4th year putting on a show for the women, and first year for our men. Being in treatment during holidays is hard, we make every attempt to not only show our clients love, but to show them recovery is fun! 🎆🎇 ( sorry for picture quality )

Today we celebrate a milestone! Grace has been with Orenda for 5 years!!!! Grace was the first employee hire that we made, during our beginning planning period. Grace came to us and we could see the passion she had for this field. Never did we imagine how she would grow! From working as a DCC when hired to now being a masters level clinician, who supervises her team. We are so lucky to have you and proud of all you’ve done in 5 years! Congratulations!!!

We had an Orenda first today! One of our amazing clients is now a proud FCPS graduate! We were able to host his graduation ceremony alongside his teachers and administrators. Attending treatment and doing school was no easy task. This was a great example for everyone, that you can truly do ANYTHING you set your mind to 🎓

We are in need of women’s summer clothing donations for the women coming in with nothing. We specifically need socks, bras and underwear ❤️

Our amazing women’s inpatient chefs made a wonderful lunch for staff appreciation! Filet, crab stuffed mushrooms, jerk chicken, cucumber shrimp shooters etc ❤️💙

The Spikes K9 5k took place today in Montgomery County, bringing together police departments from not only the state of Maryland but other states as well. We got to join in and witness the dogs at work. The different obstacles were all interesting to watch, especially to see them find he**in hidden in the woods. Our Executive Director is pictured below with one of Montgomery Counties working pups. Funds raised help to protect these working dogs they keep our communities safe💙

Spirit week at mens inpatient! Today was pajama day- check our some of our amazing clinical and medical ladies rocking their PJs to work! We love making things fun around here 😀

We are excited to sponsor Spike's K9 Fund Iron Dog 2024. The local police departments work closely with us to not only combat the drug epidemic in our community but to also respond to emergencies within our facilities. This is only a small token of our appreciation, plus animals are near and dear to our hearts. Check them out! 🐕

Iron Dog 2024 Come join us for Iron Dog! This event, hosted by USPCA Region 3, is sure to be a great time for the dogs all while raising funds for the dogs! A three-mile, off-the-grid obstacle course designed for K9s and their handlers to include mud pits, hill climbs, water crossings, shooting, apprehension, ...

Today we celebrate one year of our men’s program officially accepting clients. It is hard to believe a year flew by so fast. It has been an adventure, full of both good times and hard times. We are grateful to all who have trusted us and proud of each of you! ❤️

All of our transitional houses are officially MCORR certified! We have been waiting for this day for so long and want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who helped us along this journey. We are excited to continue to provide comfortable, safe homes to our community recovering from substance use ❤️

Our inpatient facility and nursing directors had the opportunity to tour the beautiful Keele Medical Center, apart of Caron treatment programs. Their full contuinum of care is outstanding, offering everything from substance use detox, to mental health residential treatment.

Giving hope to our clients is the most rewarding part of this work! ❤️
