DID YOU KNOW? The city is named after Dr. Lovern Lee Moore. Dr. Lee Moore studied law and medicine right about the time of the Civil War. He came out to California in 1874 and paid a visit a friend. He liked the area so much, he decided to stay. The land he bought became known as "Moore's Addition." It was located on the north side of what was once Tulare Lake. Lemoore was then incorporated on July 4, 1900.

Apple weather app tweakin’ out again!
Says 117° for July 6th this time.
None of the other apps I use regularly are showing temps that high for Fresno. Next highest for 7/6 is 112°. Besides Apple, pics below show forecasts from Clime (NOAA), What The Forecast, Weatherunderground, National Weather Service, and FOX26 weather app. Looks like 110° give or take a degree or two. BUT we could see some adjustments as the week goes on.
In any case, it’s going to be dangerously hot, and we do have an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING for the entire Valley. Goes from July 2-7. Tues-Sun. BE SAFE!

Remember those signs on the highways that read "Pray For Rain?" Y'all might wanna put some up that say "PRAY FOR MERCY!" Look at the insanity headed our way... Excessive heat watch, Air Quality Alert... Your FOX26 10-Day Forecast shows temps getting to 111 next week... Yikes! Stay safe, and stay cool, everybody!

So we still got that heat advisory going… But will we see more storms today? Looks like that’ll be reserved for the foothills and mountains later on. BUT there is some lingering moisture from TS Alberto spinning into the valley. Not like Monday though. Guess we’ll see how well this post ages! 😬😬😬

Uhh, I confess I didn’t foresee rain developing on the valley floor 😬😬😬 Mountains late today and tomorrow, yeah… But, looks like Madera, north of Lemoore, moving into Fresno… Anyway, stay cool. AND DRY!
102-103° to start the week… But 107-108° next week? Had that over the weekend! I think we’re good already, right?

Starting the week off with a Heat Advisory for the entire San Joaquin Valley. 103 in Fresno today. If you're outside in this heat too long, it can be dangerous! Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and take the necessary precautions!

What a fun, wacky, good show! Highly recommend “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).” Whether you like Shakespeare or not, it’s a fun time. Directed by Mark Standriff, it features a rotating cast of talented actors. And there might be a little audience participation too! As an added bonus, the AC is on! If you haven’t been to BenSmokin BBQ yet, you’re missing out! My dude Bernard and I go waaaay back. Running around the Tom’s warehouse when we were kids while our dads loaded their trucks. It was great catching up. Can’t wait to go back. By the way, everything in the menu is 🔥🔥🔥. But I gotta recommend the brisket, the ribs and the Mac and cheese!
