As we get close to the start of the 24/25 school year we are still onboarding a few new recruits. This young man is one that will not disappoint on the water. Great to have another guy from Lake County join us. If he is as skilled as the last one, ya’ll better watch out!
Hi, my name is Payton Lyndall I’m and I from Kelseyville California. I’ve grown up fishing Clearlake which is the reason I am so hooked on fishing. I am majoring in business management and hope to be a real estate agent one day. I Couldn’t be more blessed to be part of this team and can’t wait to help to get us on the leader board.
Team Captain showing off what got him a summer derby win back home on the mighty Columbia River. Clearly and played roll in his success! 🎣🔨😎
Mt. Shasta Kids Fishing Days for 2024 are in the books. Was very happy to distribute beef and cheddar sticks to many well deserving families. New Red Hawk alert 🚨!!! Welcome Laura Reed to the team. She will be a stellar member of the team on and off the water.
Hi, my name is Laura Reed. I am originally from Northern Mexico and am currently living in Southern Oregon. I enjoy everything about the outdoors and inherited my love of fishing from my grandpa. I will be majoring in nursing and hope to one day serve God by working in medical ministry around the world. I’m so excited to be a part of the Simpson Bass Team and I can’t wait to be a Red Hawk!

Getting some more help with Jeremy Clifford joining the team. Jeremy is a graduate student in our MACP program. He is from Redding originally and is excited to grow deeper in his faith as well as the sport of bass fishing! We are equally excited to have him on the team.
Quinn spills the tea and tells us exactly what baits he used for his recent Delta victory. No surprise that a 5” senko did most of the damage! ☕️
School is out, but the fishing continues. James (Quinn) Hawkinson and the team of Brayden Bishop and Jacob Greene fished on the California Delta this weekend in the final MLF College Fishing event of the season. Quinn won the event and the team of Bishop and Greene took 5th. Go over to our Instagram page for some more content! Time to rest up and get ready for next semester and the next season 👊

Our new(ish) Athletic Director, Rob Harley, got to sneak away on the team boat this morning with Coach Alex Thiemann. If you are a prospective student and want to be on the bass team, make sure to reach out to Coach Thiemann and schedule some time on the water, and on campus. We are pretty sure that you can catch bigger bass than Rob and Alex 😂
Wanted to get some photos of our most recent Lake Havasu tournament. We placed 1st-3rd at the event!
So great to graduate another batch of our anglers. This year we have Ryan Beaty, Taj White, and Michael Bray graduating. We are so proud of their accomplishments and thankful for their impact on our program. *Taj was fishing the MLF Toyota Series as a Pro and was not on campus for the grad ceremony.
Really pumped for this kids fishing day. This may be one of the 3 kids days we will be at this summer. Come by and get some jerky, check out the Simpson Boat, and hopefully leave with a catfish!!!
So nice to honor another year of graduates. At our end of the year team dinner we honored James Hawkinson and Michael Bray. These two have not just been team members, but both have stepped up as team captains during their time with the team. We will still have James in the Fall semester, but not the Spring. Michael may be staying in the North State a little longer and we will most likely see him around. Thanks to that hosted and made the whole team happy! In pic 2 David was very happy to get his milkshake 🥤
Such an awesome opportunity to give back to the community. We are proud to be associated with this. Thanks to Jason and everyone behind the scenes helping to make this possible!

Over the past couple years bass fishing has turned into a hobby of mine and I wanted to see where it would take me.
