Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers and front-end loaders to perform demolitions and move materials during construction and/or demolition projects. Heavy Equipment Operators must be able to read and interpret blueprints and plans to ensure that the equipment is operated in the safe and professional manner. The candidates must also be able to perform routine maintenance on the equipment to ensure that it is in good working order at all times. This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of skill and attention to detail. A Heavy Equipment Operator must be able to work independently or as part of a team, and must have excellent communication skills to ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Equipment Operating demonstrations will be required during the interview.

Demolition Specialist Responsibilities:
• Using hand or power tools, and heavy machinery to down old or unsound building structures.
• Directing cars and/or pedestrians away from demolition job sites.
• Signaling heavy equipment operators to ensure that heavy machinery and equipment are correctly positioned.
• Performing maintenance on all tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure that they are in good working order.
• Assessing building structures to identify their structural components and determine the most efficient methods to perform demolitions.
• Stripping building structures of any valuable or reusable materials, such as pipes, radiators, and steel beams.
• Removing debris, rubble, and hazardous materials from job sites.

Demolition Specialist Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven demolition or construction experience.
• The ability to safely use hand and power tools, and if needed heavy machinery.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Good physical stamina.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Valid Drivers license

Haskins Demolition is in need of a CDL Driver (Class A or B) who are willing to work as a team member with a positive demeanor. Some of the day to day duties include maintaining your assigned vehicle, completing proper paperwork accurately, hauling containers to and from job sites, as well as designated dump sites, following the assigned schedule as assigned. We have Roll Off trucks and typically haul 20yrd and 30yrd containers. All trucks are equipped with hydraulic systems and thoroughly serviced and maintained. Pay is based upon experience.

Job Requirements:
• Clean MVR 5 years of driving experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• 2 years commercial driving experience within the past 5 years
• Waste industry experience a plus but not required
• Current DOT medical card
• Ability to pass a post offer background check and drug screening/physical

We are looking for a skilled equipment operator/super intendent with the ability to coach and guide a team of 3-50 demolition workers. All while still being productive and operating equipment. Haskins Demolition is a fast growing demolition company looking for individuals that want to grow within a company. Construction experience is required. We handle everything from interior demolition for renovations to complete building demolition and removal. Pay is based on experience and willingness to grow.
The ideal candidate must be able to efficiently operate heavy equipment, perform daily maintenance of utilized equipment, perform manual labor tasks, Provide on-site supervision needed to clarify drawings and discrepancies; coordinate interfacing of various trades; provide quality standards and reject improper practices; alert supervisor to potential problems, abide by all safety rules and reside in or around the Alachua, FL and Ocala, FL area.
Previous demolition experience preferred. Travel and a valid drivers license are required.
