This evening we had the honor to gather and remember an amazing soul. Grant M Valentine born 6/14/1918 and passed at 105 on 12/2/2023, was a cherished member of both the Orca and the Ranney families. We were honored to be able to celebrate his 100th birthday on a Solstice Fishing trip and tonight we learned things that in all the years that we knew and loved him, we did not know. Thank you to his daughter Annette and Son-in-law Lynn for allowing us to honor him in this manner. Testimonials and stories...in his own words were read by family, friends, guides, and staff as we honored his memory with a plaque that is placed to forever show the great mark that he left on all that he met. We love and miss you Grant...we were honored to have you in our lives....tight lines dear friend... tight lines.
Thanks for being such an awesome Dad! To our Kids and so many others.....your big heart has lots of room and I sure love you for that!!! Happy Father's Day Steve
Happy New Year to Everyone from all of us at Orca!!!

Yesterday an Era ended. Grant Valentine passed at 104 years old. Grant was a part of Orca and our Family before Orca was a thing! A treasured client from our Fishing & Flying Air Taxi days was such a part of our extended family that he travelled to be at our twins’ High School Graduation. Grant was an amazing soul, a beloved man, and a diehard fisherman. Grant you will be missed! Calm Seas and Tight Lines my friend! A short paragraph in no way does this man justice please forgive us as we take time to mourn and remember.
This photo was taken on his 100th Birthday!
