It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the closure of OneWhisk. It is a difficult economy these days, for small businesses, and there are few indications it’s going to improve anytime soon. With that, I have decided to move on. You will be able to find my products at Colby Farm and Hatter’s Tea while supplies last – I’m guessing until mid-May.

Leaving my 25-year high-tech career to launch my love of baking under the brand OneWhisk in 2017, I never anticipated the warm connection my business would provide me to our wonderful community. On the retail side, it has been an honor to be a part of so many celebrations. Whether it is a wedding, a shower, a birthday, a sympathy basket, or just because; baked goods bring smiles. It was especially meaningful to connect loved ones during the pandemic. It meant a lot to me to help people make their scaled-down celebrations extra special. I delivered orders from neighbors on the same street, from customers across the country and even ones from abroad letting people know their special day was not forgotten. I was able to help welcome teachers back to the classroom and keep some of the classroom celebrations alive as well.

On the wholesale side, I have been so fortunate to have worked with great business partners on the North Shore – Colby Farm, Plum Island Coffee Roasters, Souffles, and Hatter’s Tea. Through those partners I built a following for my strongest brand; gluten-free and dairy-free products. It has been so rewarding to supply people with dietary needs with something homemade. The loyalty from that community is touching.

There are a few moments that really stand out for me on why this business has meant so much to me.
• A friend at a bake sale once commented, “I see your label
and know there will be something for me.”
• A little boy who once asked me why I was standing in his
foyer, he glanced at my label and shouted, “Oh! You make
my snacks. I’m the gluten-free kid!”
• The couple who met me in parking lots during Covid to
exchange pumpkin bread for cash like a drug deal.
• The gluten-free 30th birthday cake that marked the first
time in years the guest of honor ate the same cake as her
guests instead of requiring her own “special” cupcake.
• And four-year-old Maddie that got to pick her own dairy free
cupcake from the cupcake stand just like all her friends.

Supplying all the people with special diets brought purpose to my job that I never expected. I’m sorry to leave you! A heartfelt thank you to all of you who have supported OneWhisk over the years! It is not often people get to leave a job feeling they’ll be truly missed. Not so for me – and thank you all for the opportunity to serve you.

What a perfect way to celebrate a middle school graduation - a giant s'more bar!

OneWhisk is now in Georgetown! I am pleased to be working with Hatter's Tea Shoppe. Drop in and check out this wonderful new shop. They offer coffee, tea, gelato and so much more. The seating areas are lovely and nicely divided so visitors have a bit of privacy.
