Over the years I have chosen countless barrels & blends, both alone & collaboratively. It hadn’t actually occurred to me that my own brand/monicker had yet to grace a label.

Funny enough, a 10.5 year, 134.9 proof, Kentucky MALT whiskey from with a beautifully complex flavor profile couldn’t be any more appropriate as the first.
After all, I only gravitate towards exceptional s**t🥃♥️

Cheers to my wife for making me pause & take in the moment. Sometimes small things like this are all you need as motivation to take that next step towards the bigger thing.

Apparently Onyx is into … who knew? 😅

is not just another brand slapping its label on some sourced juice… the process is actually pretty damn cool (feel free to catch up on our IG live to get more into that 😁)

Our single barrel pick with is a blend of 50% 12 year old rye, 20% 19 year old rye, & 30% 21 year old corn, finished for an additional 8 months in cognac casks 😋

At only 116.4 proof, it doesn’t drink too hot without adding water… and yes, I did say ONLY 116.4 proof 😂
On the nose, notes of white pepper, earth, & turbinado sugar. It's essentially a shortbread cookie with crushed peanuts on top.
On the palate, rich fortified wine sweetness. There's black pepper dancing around with notes of a fresh toffee. Finish is long with notes of dark chocolate and oak.

It’s a dram that takes you on a journey for sure 👌🏾🥃

Alas, she has arrived. Can’t wait to taste this one 😋🥃

You can never quite know what to expect when you finally connect with someone in person that you’ve admired from afar… Fred Minnick is just as warm and attentive to everyone in the room as I could’ve hoped for. I’m def. proud to be apart of any work this man does.
