🌕It is the last full moon before Samhain🌕 The veil is thin, the presence of our beloved dead can be felt more than ever. Tonight’s moon would be perfect for charging a bundle of herbs dedicated to communicating with the ancestors.
Any mix of the following herbs will do as they are associated with protection, divination, and the sacred dead: cinnamon, mugwort, eucalyptus, bay leaves, willow, rosemary, mullein, lavender, clove and marigold.
Gather your herbs of choice, bind with twine or place inside a cloth pouch. Place your bundle or bag under the full moon and recite the following:
✨Under the moon I charge these herbs and open the door of Samhain.
I call to my beloved dead and sacred spiritual kin.
You are welcome to this place of remembrance and communication,
But only those who come with love and trust may join herein.
Sit with your herbs for a moment before leaving them under the moon for the night. In the morning, place your herbs on your alter,in a doorway, or in any spot you feel is appropriate for welcoming those from across the veil.

The Eleusinian Mysteries : Historically celebrated this time of year in Ancient Greece. These initiation rites were dedicated to the goddesses Demeter & Persephone. Celebrating Persephone’s ascent from Hades realm and her reunion with her mother. These secret rites and festival’s celebrated the harvest, fertility, life & death for the Ancient Greeks.
If you feel the call of self-initiation here is a simple spell that can help you on your path.
Items Needed:
*Piece of paper & a pen
*An envelope
*6 pomegranate seeds (or pomegranate juice)
Ground yourself and take several deep breaths. Focus on your desire to move further along your personal path. Write your intention on the paper, fold into thirds and place in the envelope sealing it inside.
To complete your ritual eat your 6 pomegranate seeds (or drink a small amount of juice). This act is symbolic of the balance that was achieved when Persephone consumed 6 pomegranate seeds binding herself to the Underworld for half a year.
Lastly, recite aloud:
I know the journey is difficult, but I accept that it is my path to tread.
*Keep your paper somewhere safe and burn it when your intentions have been met.
