Our Story

Our projects present a full range of architectural styles and configurations as a result of our client’s program and building context. Our commercial projects include community centers, self-storage buildings, offices, restaurants, and a fire station. Our mixed use projects include the renovation of Block Four in Lake Bluff that includes the first full service restaurant in Lake Bluff’s history and a full compliment of street level retail and upper floor professional offices.

The foundation of our practice is our residential work, which is as varied and unique as our clients. Our projects include new homes, vacation homes, additions and remodelings, which include historic residences by noted architects such as Howard Van Doren Shaw, David Adler and Stanley Andersen.

Ruggles Architecture is well versed in projects of varied size and complexity. On a regular basis, our projects meet the demands not only of our clients, but also of municipal review boards, building code compliance and ADA compliance.
