We’re under construction and things are a bit of a mess while we get new homes set up for everything, but we still have lots of lumber on hand, for all those projects you’re working on or thinking about! We can’t always compete with the big box store prices but we’d love to quote your projects, big or small, to see if we can surprise you. And quotes are free! To all of our loyal customers and friends: we’re making some changes. As you know, we own Trails End General Store, the local hardware store in the lovely downtown Pembina ND. In the 10 years we’ve owned it, it’s never been a money maker however, it’s been able to pay its own bills. Unfortunately, between changes with vendors and a decrease in sales, that’s no longer the case. Rather than close the doors completely, we have elected to move our wonderful store manager, Lyla, along with the most popular inventory out to our lumberyard location. We’re hoping that the advantage of having all of the lumber and hardware type items in one location is not only more beneficial for us, but that it will encourage more sales as well. This is something we’re hoping to do within the next month.
We no longer do much for garage door work, the pandemic presented too many challenges for us in that area to continue with that but we’ve added snow removal and lawn care to the lumberyard and hardware store. We also do dirt work, basic landscaping such as mulching or leveling and continue to have aggregate products such as gravel, sand and black dirt available for sale as well.
It’s been a bumpy few years with a lot of ups and downs and changes but we’re hoping for a better 2024.

We’re still missing our general store guru, Lyla Hancock, a whole lot and we can’t wait for her to be back. In the meantime, we’re so hugely blessed to have Bea Crotty and Ronda Warner covering the store for us. We couldn’t do it without them so we’re so thankful!

Many of you know our Trails End General Store manager, Lyla Hancock. Lyla has been dealing with some health issues and won’t be able to steer the hardware store ship with her usual efficiency! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! As well, our regular wrench, Pat Burton, has been struggling with ongoing knee issues so he hasn’t been able to keep us in line like he usually would!! In the meantime, we’re extremely short handed so please bear with us. We’ll be trying to cover both the lumberyard and the hardware store but if you can’t find us one place, please stop by the other so we can try to help you out!! We’re very thankful for those who have stepped up to help us out as well as our garage door guys, Mark and Jared!!
