We will be holding classes this spring at Rayland Park in anticipation of their YTR Bark Park (Dog Park) opening this summer. These classes are a great idea for anybody but especially those looking to use the bark park in the future.You receive a digital guide on handling, training, and caring for a dog + 4 group classes with a focus on cultivating a calm & fulfilling relationship with our animals as well as understanding how to properly socialize them to others and their environment.

Training methods are balanced though positive & relationship based.
Class sizes are small and our environment is very calm and relaxed as caring for anxious animals and their anxious humans is our specialty. 🤍🐾
While most trainers accept 15+ dogs we only allow about 6 per class.

Dog parks are for educated responsible owners & well socialized dogs that know how to relax in the presence of others & respect other dogs boundaries. These classes are a great idea for anybody but especially those looking to use the bark park in the future.
You receive one personalized 1:1 session, a printed packet guide for raising a dog & 4 group classes with a focus on cultivating a calm & fulfilling relationship with our animals as well as understanding how to properly socialize them to others and their environment.

Training methods are balanced though positive & relationship based.
Class sizes are small and our environment is very calm and relaxed as caring for anxious animals and their anxious humans is our specialty. 🤍🐾

We will begin with locally sourced honey & tea from Appalachian roots apothecary with 15 minutes of education and introduction to the rabbits followed by a 1 hour floor based yoga session ideal for viewing & interacting with the rabbits as they hop freely through the space. The remaining time will be left for 1:1 interactions with the bunnies.
Beginner friendly & low intensity for ages 16 & up.
Bring a blanket and yoga mat or borrow one of ours.

Meet Jake!
He was pulled from the euthanasia list at a local shelter & was brought out to Camp Calm for some emergency housing. He’s a very good boy who ended up with a streak of bad luck.
He is a 5 year old walker treen hound, previously lived outside, & was incredibly underweight.
In the past 12 days he’s truly shown how goofy he is!
He’s started chewing on bones & playing, loves a good rub down, is calm as can be in the car & is content to chill in his bed in between light walks & a game of tug.
He doesn’t seem to be dog reactive. He came into the shelter with another dog & doesn’t bark at ones he sees walk by in fences or through the windows but we’re waiting until he’s healed up for 1:1 play sessions.
He’s fully vaccinated & was recently neutered. His neuter isn’t healing great so he went back to the vet today. They’d like him to wear his cone for yet another week & gain some more weight.
We originally agreed to house Jake for 2 weeks but he’s so sweet we don’t mind keeping him another couple while he fully heals but we would love to offer you the opportunity to help out with some of his food since he’s eating more than double a dog his size to gain weight as well as some things for his stay here & to go home with when he finds a home 🐾
