We're so thrilled and honored to now offer AMAZING goat milk soaps from our neighbor just down the road at Cummins Creek Natural Soaps!! Our family has been loving them so much we've decided to offer them to our community!

Jason planted apple trees a few years ago- along with an entire orchard. 😆 We’ve been patiently waiting for these trees to produce fruit! Green apples! They’re so good, too!

Hey, y’all! How are ya doing out there? Today, I happily accepted my role keeping the farmhouse warm and running and the farmhands warm and fed. Somebody’s gotta keep the home fires burning. 🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️

The farm is doing remarkably well in these very extreme temperatures that we aren’t use to or set up well for. We’ve spent the last week preparing the best we know how to and so far so good.

Since a lot of us are out here trying to stay warm, I thought I’d share my Homemade Hot Cocoa. My family has declared it as the best they’ve had. It’s rich and simple. You probably have everything you need right in your pantry and fridge to make it. I finally took the time to write down the actual measurements and ingredients so I thought I’d share it with you. I’m on my third batch made today.

I hope it’s a real treat for you and warms you right up!

:::Homemade Hot Cocoa:::
This will make you 3 cups.

2 cups of milk
1 cup of heavy cream
4 tbsp brown sugar- cut back if you don’t like it sweet
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Put your milk and cream in a saucepan on low on the stove to warm. You don’t want to burn your milk so make sure it heats up slowly. Once milk and cream start warming up, add the rest of your ingredients and use a whisk to mix everything into the milk and cream well. This will take about 10 minutes to mix well and heat to a hot drinkable temperature.

Many of you know that we are farmers who work with other farmers who are excellent at what they do! We put a lot of care and attention in the farms that we work with. Peach Creek Poultry Farm not only raises their chickens, they also are in control of their own processing- a very rare and wonderful thing!

Hi, Farm Friends! This is a friendly reminder that farm deliveries are happening this week. There’s still time to place an order if you haven’t had a chance to.

IMPORTANT NOTE- there will be a 2 week gap between deliveries instead of a 1 week gap due to Independence Day and that holiday week. The next week of deliveries (after this week) will be on July 10. We wanted you to know in order to stock up on extra goods. The egg limit has also been increased, as well. Raw milk does freeze if you need that as an option. However, we can typically get 3 weeks out of our milk.

I took this photo yesterday while Jason and I were doing farm chores together while the girls were at horse camp. I wish it were a video with his words because that’s really what made me take this photo and capture this moment. His words were so gentle, kind, and patient. We had been working so hard to get this orphan lamb to take a bottle.

This snapshot reminded me of many moments of him fathering our daughters over the years. He’s consistent. He’s stable. He’s a protector. He’s gentle. He’s a provider. He sees adversity as an opportunity.

I wish I could tell you his life’s story. Maybe someday I will have the opportunity.

I believe that our daughters have grown into confident, capable, and strong young ladies because they’ve had him as their father. He really sees and knows them. What an earthly picture of our Heavenly Father. The Lord knew what he was doing when he gave this man little girls.

Happy Father’s Day. Of all the men on earth to lead us, we’d pick you over and over again. ❤️
