The Ukedelics
Jazz, rock, swing, bluegrass, and an occasional Hawaiian tune. The Ukedelics play it all! Nashville's Premier Ukulele Band.
Forget what you think you know about the ukulele - this little instrument can really swing! The Ukedelic's set includes uked-up versions of a wide range of musical genres: jazz, blues, pop, rock and country. (don’t worry, we play a few Hawaiian songs, too.)
Thank you Sue Quigley for sharing these photos with us! And great job capturing a shot of the elusive Haptown Robot. He doesn’t typically join us for shows as Chiron Beta Prime is very far away.
Unplugged, mini version of the Ukedelics were on fire today at Richland Place for a Christmas sing along. Great way to start the week.
We had a great time today playing at the British Car Club Hawaiian Christmas event in Unionville, TN. All those rehearsals for the the past 15 years are starting to pay off.
Our 12th year of performing a Christmas show at the Nashville Public Library in downtown Nashville! What a great crowd! We are so grateful to Crystal Dean (pictured with us) and the library for having us back year after year. We always look forward to it. And a special thank you to the many folks who came out for the show, and double big thanks for jingling those sleigh bells for us! We love playing for a big crowd of fun people. They always get us in the holiday spirit. Mele Kalikimaka!
Come see us perform Christmas classics at the Main branch of the Nashville Public Library on Saturday, December 2nd from 11-11:30! There’ll be ukuleles galore, bells, bells, bells, and a bass playing robot from Chiron Beta Prime! Don’t miss it!
We dusted off those great Christmas songs for the folks at Woodcrest today. Stop by the downtown library this Saturday 11:00-11:30 to capture the magic of Christmas…Ukedelic’s style.
Nice gig today. What a lovely audience.
It was a spooky fun evening at Blakeford in Green Hills. There were dancing dalmatians, whirling witches and gyrating ghouls. A good time was had by all.
We had a blast playing at Drifters Friday night.
Oops, we did it again! Woodcrest at Blakeford in Green Hills keeps having us back and we'll keep showing up as long as they'll have us. The request for an encore was a good sign. We love playing for the residents there, and honestly they entertain us just as much; chatting and bantering and singing along to everything. We'll see you next time!

Nice gig today with a very animated audience. See you around.
On fire this afternoon for a very cool audience.
It was a party tonight at Drifter’s. Thanks to David Cooper for his skills at the mixing board.
Beautiful weather for one of our favorite outdoor stages. Thanks David for making us sound good.
Sunday Patio Luau in Germantown. We’ve played a lot of parties. This one was quite exceptional. Thanks to management for the invite and thanks to a great staff for making us feel welcome. Hope we cross paths soon. Thanks Martin Brady for joining us.
Happy Independance Day. We love playing all the great patriotic songs because everyone sings along. Thanks Martin Brady for joining us while Ted and Andy are chasing butterflys in South America.
Wonderful gig today at . Thanks for such an enthusiastic audience.
Nice gig today for a great crowd of singers. Amazing when everyone sings along. We’re warming up for our summer schedule. Hope to see you soon.
Last Saturday we performed a three hour Coronation concert for The Nashville British Car Club! A jolly good time was had by all.
5-4-12 Werthan Lofts. The staircase is our stage for a huge party.
Here’s another memory from 12 years ago. We used to play the Downtown Nashville Art Crawl on the regular. It was always a ton of fun. And we’d love to do it again. (Pssst. Hey Art Crawl people, we’re available. Just sayin’).
Here’s a blast from our ukulele past. In 2011 we were hired by super fans Justin and Mo Bird to play at their annual backyard Luau. This was before Justin and Mo converted their basement into a proper Tiki Bar. Their bar is named Hale Manu (that means Bird House in Hawaiian), and it is quite a sight to behold. It sure looks a lot different now!
This month we celebrate 15 years of playing ukulele together! To commemorate this auspicious occasion, we will be posting photos from years past. We thought about posting photos from years future, but we decided not to give anything away. No spoilers. Let’s just say that it looks like we will be really huge in Tuvalu.
If you have old photos of us, please share them in the comments.
Band on the Run. Oh my, what a lovely gig today. It was a party.
We were humbled this week to play for an audience of Alzheimer’s patients. The daughter of one patient said that her father had not said a word in over two years, but he sang along to Minnie The Moocher. Music is magic.
Great outdoor gig in Donelson on Wednesday. Lots of dancing kids digging our tunes.
Thanks to Nectar: Urban Cantina for having us play their Kids Night! It’s a great place to hear a band outside with great food. We can’t wait to come back.
Hey! Did you know that next month The Ukedelics will be celebrating their 15th year of performing in and around Nashville?!? We can hardly believe it! It's our Crystal Anniversary! We started out as a loosely formed group of uke enthusiasts that became the performing extension of The Nashville Ukulele Society, and today we perform for public and private events all over Tennessee and beyond.
*The photo below is our first official public performance way back in May of 2008 at the Lockeland Design Center Story Telling Festival.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day everybody.
We love playing all the great Irish tunes. Several audience tears when Ted sang Danny Boy.
Angel voices at last night’s rehearsal.
We got lots of people kissing today. “That’s what lips are for.” Happy Valentine’s Day from our lips to yours.
We’re gonna put Coke on the map.
