Finishing up some big projects. This renovation was an extensive one including a in-law apartment. There were some very special touches in this job. Open pantry, lots of windows, staircase details, multiple decks, bathrooms, mudroom...and what a end result. We'll be showing this house off a lot!
Thank you to our sub contractors and suppliers.

This house is finally ready to unveil. This build in Charlotte is full of grand views and spectacular features. We're excited to show you more.
School's out soon and the kids are going to need a place to hang out! This renovated FROG is airy and bright and multi-purpose. It included a gym, home office and this lounge space. One of our favorites!
Two corners. One for quiet organization and work, another for quiet contemplation.
Can you really ever have enough drawers or shelves? Such a fantastic renovation in Burlington. We'll share more along the way. For now, we are just enjoying this view!
This build was something special. A special project. A recording studio for local composer and musician, Zoe Keating. The requirements were unique, the design very specific, the details finite. And the result was a space that makes beautiful music. We are always privileged to be a part of our client’s vision. This one was exceptionally stunning both in space and sound.
It's not often that your client looks for a tile that matches a lock of hair. Especially during Covid times. but North Country Tile came through again. This stunning tile is such a compliment to this bathroom...like showering underwater in the depth of the ocean.
Lots of cool details, beautiful tile and so many windows. Decks, stairs, pantry, and much more….we’re excited to show off this renovation soon.
As part of their Genius Hour project, these students from SCS met with Shawn to talk about design and process. The future designers and builders! Inspiration and excitement were contagious and we’re so glad SDB could be a part of this.
The client’s farm table stayed and we think the kitchen renovation provided the perfect backdrop!
It never fails to excite when you see the plans coming to fruition. Loving these bunk beds that will surround the focal window. This house renovation will be so much fun to document. A lot of change and fun elements.
This is what it should look like outside! That white fluffy stuff.
Tis the season to long for winter but yearn for spring.
The bright light of winter with the warm glow of a fire.
Happy Holidays from the crew at SDB. May your New Year be bright!
It’s a keeper!
Merry + Bright.

And a little kitchen envy as you spend quality time with your own!
In progress: Steel retrofitting.
Built-ins. A book lovers dream, a great place to show off collections (we loved this client's old cameras) and such a great use of a wall. Efficiency in design.
This weather has us thinking fire. This lakeside renovation featured a 2 sided fireplace warming the living room and the 4 season porch.
Important things to think about when planning renovations, how to maximize your firelight!
The Airstream Garage with the Master Bedroom Addition.
Perfect view for hot tubbing. One of our favorite renovation/builds.
Friday Feelings. All that counter space to unload your fall farmer's market bounty and start cooking! Apple harvesting, canning, baking.....
The light in this master bedroom is sublime. Watch the changing seasons in full glory with these sliders and gable windows. Design to enjoy the outdoors as well as the indoors.
Windows by Pella Windows and Doors
Small bathroom with everything you need. Shower, tub, storage and charm.
Savoring the last few weeks of summer with beautiful deck views. Always consider your outside spaces when you plan your renovations.
Friday Bathroom Break. Lots of light and open space in this redo.
The "appliance annex" in this kitchen renovation leaves the rest of the space for countertops and wide open space. Just look at all that light!
When you walk into a kitchen you just finished renovating and you can just point the camera and shoot.
DesignBuild is one word in our name because we believe the best results happen when home designers and craftspeople work together on the same team.

Sweeney Designbuild takes an enlightened approach to renovating and building. From the onset of the design process, we address the client's wishes equally with their budget. Throughout the entire design phase, we constantly review and revise the budget keeping the client informed about what the costs are and more importantly, letting them have control of what the final price is going to be. At the end of the design phase, the client has made all of the hard decisions, chosen 95% of the materials and has agreed to the fixed cost of the project.
When building begins, there is very little to do but sit back and enjoy the building process. Regular meetings are held keeping the lines of communication open and stress free. At the end of a job, clients have experienced an entirely new construction process. There are no surprises, clients have been involved every step of the way and the decision making has been easy and relaxed. Most importantly, the job has been completed on time, on budget and the finished product being thoughtfully planned out and executed, consistently exceeds expectations.
