Looking to participate in the May the Fourth be with you 5k? Here are some 5K training tips to get you started:

1. Start Slow: If you are new to running, start slow and gradually build up your endurance. You can start with 4 minutes of walking, then jog for 45 seconds up to 2 minutes. Repeat this sequence to increase your running time.

2. Stay Consistent: Consistency is key when it comes to training for a 5K. Try to run at least 2-3 times a week, and gradually increase your running time and distance.

3. Mix it up: To avoid getting bored or burnt out, mix up your training with other types of exercise, such as strength training, biking or swimming.

4. Stay Hydrated: Make sure to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your runs to stay hydrated and avoid cramps.

5. Rest and Recover: Rest days are just as important as training days, so make sure to give your body time to recover. Listen to your body and don't push too hard.

Remember, training for a 5K takes time and dedication, but the feeling of accomplishment when you cross the finish line is so worth it!

"Let us lay aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1
