HELLO WELLNESS WEDNESDAY....

Keeping with the THEME that seems to be playing out this month. Here are some GREAT Self Care Tips that I would not have thought about until I saw this visual.

Yesterday, I was having a BAD Day...I mean a REALLY BAD Day! I hit my funny bone and I about LOST it!! SO, I loaded myself in the car, went for a drive to the lake, sat by the water for a bit and then I got ADJUSTED!! I NEEDED the Fresh Air, the TIME Alone AND my body NEEDED that adjustment...I really needed an ATTITUDE Adjustment 🙄😛🤪 Just so happens my ATTITUDE was FIXED with the Adjustment AND freshair!

Everyday, I am thankful that I get to be a CHIROPRACTOR! I love what I do and I love the people I get to see! I LOVE the crabby guy that walks in and barely talks BUT then 1 to 2 weeks later is a totally different 😅FUNNY😅 Guy! I LOVE the person that limps in with a cane and WALKS out carrying the cane!! I LOVE the kiddos that I get to see GROW and DEVELOP into AMAZING little people! I LOVE the pregnant lady that stops on her way home from the hospital so her AND baby CAN GET ADJUSTED!! I LOVE the lady that sends a text with AMAZING lab results because SHE has been putting in the HARD work!!

THIS is what I GET to do when I go to work!!

Throw in a few more liquid herbs and this would like VERY MUCH like my "medicine" cabinet ❤

Last year my oldest son invited his friend over and when the boy went home, he told his mom, "Mom, all she has in her fridge are these weird supplement bottles and health food...she doesn't even have real milk" 🤣

The poor boy brings his own food when he comes over now-a-days 😅

This is such a GREAT reminder of things that we can do on a DAILY, WEEKLY and MONTHLY basis! Self Care in such an IMPORTANT aspect of our Mental Health. These are MY GOALS over the month:

1. Daily...I will MOVE my BODY daily because for me this is THE BEST way to deal with the stress of the day! I also LOVE the idea of WRITING down 3 things that I am GRATEFUL for EVERYDAY! I think could also be tied into a daily prayer to thank GOD for ALL he does!

2. WEEKLY....EVERY week, I go get ADJUSTED!! YES, I get adjusted EVERY week because I know how important it is to take care of my body! I also make it a habit to get OUTSIDE as often as possible and go for a HIKE, WALK in the WOODS or just WALK my dogs in our neighborhood. Digging in the dirt, planting flowers or simply caring for my garden is one of my FAVORITE things to do...there is just something about DIRT THERAPY that makes me HAPPY!

3. MONTHLY....Once a month, I get a massage. This is something I really enjoy and look forward to doing. I also LOVE the idea of taking a break from Social Media!! The drama and self comparison that happens on Social Media can DRAIN a person FAST!! Do not compare yourself to others on Social Media. We ONLY see the BEST; people rarely share the BAD and the UGLY.

Several years ago, a man walked into my office with chest pain. He had been to MANY doctors and specialists who ran MANY MANY tests but nothing worked so the man came to see me after some SERIOUS pressure from his wife 😅 The man explained to me that he DID NOT believe in Chiropractic and was only standing in my office to please his wife ❤

NEEDLESS to say, that man is STILL a regular patient in my office and refers MANY people to our office 🧡

Our bodies are TRULY amazing and when everything is ALIGNED as God designed it to be, AMAZING potential can be seen 💛

People will walk into my office feeling a little crabby, a little irritated and sometimes a little mean BUT after an adjustment or 2, the "real" person, hidden under all the pain starts to emerge. I love seeing the transformation of the patient starting with 1 or 2 word answers to joking AND laughing AND living life to the fullest!

Funny enough THIS is also how we knew it was time to get our boys adjusted before they could tell us it was time 🤣🤣
