Unreal wildflowers in Idaho, poppies everywhere along the roads ❤️

Dispatch from Grand Teton National Park, snow-covered mountain tops and wildflowers in bloom like this large-leaf lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus)

Catching sweet moments like this is pretty much why I have a garden…second slide a close-up of Papaver orientale ‘Patty’s Plum’ and Gladiolus communis subsp. byzantinus I brought back from Beth Chatto’s nursery 🩷

Tulip stills from this morning. They were so late this year, and most of what I planted didn’t come up. Every year I say I’m never planting more tulips, but when they arrive looking like this, it’s hard to resist!!

So happy we could continue this tradition with friends this year, although we had to go get Covid tests this a.m. to make it happen—totally worth it! 💫🎄❤️🎅🏻

Trying the no-proof Cinnamon Buns this morning…we’ll let you know how they turn out!

A closer look at our Modern Victoriana table setting…a dark midnight blue background (not quite black) adds drama and, most importantly, hides stains. 🙏 (Not that we don’t love white tablecloths, we’re just over all the extra laundry!!)

Anyone in need of new tea towels? 🙋‍♀️Who isn’t? They’re also the perfect gift for when you don’t know what else to get. P.S. our “Black Friday” sale is coming early this year, and it’s our biggest ever. Check your inbox Monday!!

Anyone in need of new tea towels? Of course you are! Definitely the perfect gift (or part of it, anyway) for when you don’t know what to get. 👌 P.S. our “Black Friday” sale is coming early this year, and it’s our biggest yet. Check your inbox Monday!!

Wednesday night. 📚(Temporary curtains looking almost as cute as our little reader.)

02/11/2021

We love a decorated table as much as anyone, but let’s be honest, all you really need for a beautiful table setting is a great tablecloth, napkins, and of course…flowers! (Foraged from your garden—like these today—is even better!) So next time you see an IG photo of a table set with a 19th century quilt, rattan placemats and a million other baubles, remember than simple (and practical) is often the most beautiful.

October. This is dahlia ‘Bright Eyes,’ fading but maybe more gorgeous than ever?

Photos from Plover Organic's post 20/10/2021

The asters are still working hard in the garden, even in late October, & the pollinators are loving it. (Second photo is aster ‘La Reve’, with its sweet pom pom blooms, purchased from )

Among our favorite moments of fall: Wrapping ourselves up, pouring a cup, and sitting on the porch watching the birds and the foliage. ☕️🍁

Still cutting from the dahlia patch—our first ‘Labyrinth’ for the season just bloomed!—but it’s almost time to put it to bed. Some last snaps of ‘Ivanetti,’ ‘Sheer Heaven’ and the ‘Labyrinth’ 💖

Grew these white marigolds (‘Kilimanjaro’) from for the first time this year and they are a new favorite— not truly a white, but shades of buttercream ranging to soft yellow. (With the scent of orange marigolds, which I’ve always loved.) So easy to start from seed, put them on your shopping list! They look especially gorgeous in this Sunset vase by 🌅 in the loveliest of bathrooms by the one and only 💖
