This is a PSA also for those of you who have been asking, anyone can come to Colburn Cafe! It is a private arts school but the cafe is OPEN to the public! Right next to The Broad & the Walt Disney Concert Hall in DTLA!

There is a sushi station, grill, salad bar and our serving station as well!! 🤗

I realized a few weeks ago that the beginning of September is special for me for two big reasons!

1. My baby dog I’ve had since I adopted her in January turns 1! 🥳 I don’t know her exact bday since she was rescued from a trash can- BUT we know she’s a sassy virgo and that’s all that matters. 💅🏼

AND 2. Avocadamama turns 5 YEARS OLD on September 10th!! 🥹💚

I’ve spent a lot of the last few weeks reminiscing about the early days and how much work it took to get here. I have some special things I’ll be sharing over this week leading up to September 10th, but in the mean time enjoy this hard launch photo of Maxine, my sweet dog who joined me on this journey and spends lots of days/ nights cuddled on the couch next to me while I do admin work 💻 . She’s the sweetest lil mama to complete this 🏡 of “mamas”!!

A lot of people ask me how I started on this mac & cheese journey & for those of you who are new here, I’m Taylor! I started Avocadamama in 2017, selling mac under a little 10x10 tent on the street in northeast LA with my ex boyfriend, where he grew up!

I had this great vegan cheese recipe that I thought more people needed to try because we were newly vegan and not finding a lot of good options! The people tried it and I guess liked it! 🙂 Now here I am today- selling it at various events throughout Los Angeles with my badass team of 7!

Like this weekend we’re going to be strutting our stuff in TWO TENTS event at LA State Historic Park alongside one of my childhood icons, ! That’s right, go easy on me- this will be my first time having two booths running at once. We’re serving mac in one and NACHOS in the other!
