So I need some help on what to call this annual yard sale we have ( since itโs not actually a sale because we give away everything to the community we serve ) I have reserved the U-Haul for March 24th ( 4th Sunday) now we need prayer warriors to stand with me and pray for beautiful weather so we donโt have to reschedule ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
"An elderly woman came into my station today and gave me $3 in change to put on her gas pump. A police officer was standing behind her and happened to hear the amount and saw she was using a cane, struggling to walk back to her car. He went outside and told her to sit in the car as he would pump the gas for her. After a few minutes of getting to know one another he realized she was really struggling and didnโt have any gas or money left. The $3 will only get her so far. He told her to hang tight- came inside and put her another $20 out of his pocket. He went back and finished pumping and she told him her husband had recently passed away and sheโs stuck paying all their bills and is behind every month. This $20 really helped her! She would of most likely ended up running out of gas.
Nowadays thereโs so much negativity towards police officers. No one respects them. We hear all the complaints and โbadโ stories. Iโm not saying every officer is perfect, Iโm sure some are at fault at times. We all make mistakes- but we should all respect, appreciate, and thank them for what they do.
Leaving your family everyday to try and make sure everyoneโs elseโs is safe can be tough. Think about it- who do you call when youโre in danger? Whoโs running in harms way as youโre running away?
To all the men and women in blue I THANK YOU for your service!"

Jesus and me got a quarter mile of mile high dishes washed so far . We cooking for the neighbor who lost his Dad . Service is today . We sent food over last night left from outreach cause they have family in from out of town . Be the light , shine on as our friend Terri Randy Pease used to say . Be the hands and feet of Jesus in your corner of the world. Go back to the song we grew up singing โthis little light of mine , Iโm gonna let it shine !!๐๐
Pray for great weather on this day March 24th 2024 . We need no chance of rain to plan this . We will need to rent a U-Haul for 2 days so I can load donations from ministry storage on Saturday to take to event on Sunday and take it back on Monday . We will need extra tables and some tarps ( probably 8x10 size) to put items on ground ) ๐๐
If everything works out for 4th Sunday of March we will do the event we usually do in the fall the yard sale / give away (we do it like our Christmas shop , and draw names /rounds to give the things away . I fell august and September so we didnโt get to have it in October. Itโs a chance to clean out our closets and bless the community that we feed ๐๐
The mission
We have street outreaches the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month. These outreaches are held at the lot off of Lawrence and Travis near the old Hospitality House in downtown Shreveport. Our team meets at 2:30 PM to set up and pray and we start serving at 3 PM. We also provide clothing and other items as we are able to. We share the love of Jesus by our words and actions. We serve our friends in this area with a spirit of excellence which comes from the Heart of our Father. Jesus takes what we do personally: Matthew 25:35-36... for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.โ We love and serve the people we minister to and for many of them we are their only family.
