I am proud to be a part of 'n & Shoot'n to honor our nation’s heroes. At this year’s event, we will be honoring Navy SEAL Jon ‘JT’ Tumilson.

Jon always wanted to become a Navy SEAL growing up, and enlisted in the Navy in 1994. He dedicated his career to serving our country, serving in SEAL Team ONE, SEAL Team Three, and ultimately making it through the arduous selection process to join the Naval Special Warfare Development Group SEAL Team SIX.

Tumilson was killed in action on August 6, 2011, during a mission in Afghanistan. JT was one of 30 U.S. military service members killed when ‘Extortion 17’ was shot down by enemy fire. Like JT, several of the 17 Navy SEALs killed in the attack were members of the unit's famed Team 6. It was the single worst loss of American lives in the Afghanistan conflict, and the single deadliest day in the history of U.S. Special Operations Command.

Jon was an avid athlete, a beloved family member, and teammate. He his greatly missed. It is our honor to recognize him and his family for their incredible sacrifice in service to our nation.
