Team Mindgrub had an incredible experience at Black Hat 2024! From attending the exclusive Security Leaders Dinner hosted by Troy and Shannon Wilkinson to kicking off the week at NightDragon’s reception in the Foundation Room, we made so many meaningful connections with cyber industry leaders.

One of our favorite parts? The Dataminr/NightDragon Breakfast, where discussions with over 150 CISOs focused on tackling third-party risk. Insights from Dave Dewalt, Brian Gumbel, and Clark Smith highlighted the transformative potential of public data and AI in cybersecurity.

Throughout the week, we met with cyber product managers and even enjoyed a Night of Comedy at the House of Blues with clients, friends, and our partners at NowSecure. A big thank you to everyone who made the conference such a rewarding experience!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day. On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the end of slavery, marking the true emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This day–two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation–celebrates freedom, education, and achievement, while honoring the rich culture and resilience of the African American community.
