When I was invited to photograph Sydney & Grayson’s spring wedding, I knew it would be an affair to remember. ☺️Nestled in the Deep South, this celebration was the epitome of romantic charm, with every detail reflecting the couple’s impeccable taste and timeless love. 🌼👒

The wedding took place at The Whitt House, a breathtaking estate that perfectly embodied Southern elegance. ✨ The majestic trees, water features, and sprawling gardens provided a picturesque backdrop that was straight out of a fairy tale, even with the rain! 🌳🌧 The ceremony took place under the grand eaves of a sprawling front porch adorned with bright and beautiful spring flowers, while the rain drizzled quietly in the background. 🏡 Sydney’s gown was picture perfect, while Grayson was dashing in his tailored tuxedo and bowtie. 🏆The bridesmaids wore the softest pink gowns, and more than worth an honorable mention is the Mother-of-the-Bride’s stunning gown! 💯 Everything was just top notch, from the beginning of the day all the way to the couple’s getaway to Jamaica. 💚🖤💛

Rainy weather is only the back drop to an even more romantic wedding day. ☔️It was raining or drizzling the majority of this day and still absolutely gorgeous. 😍👌

I first met the very beautiful Audrey when I took her senior photos several years ago. And then later, after I moved to Birmingham, these two made the trip for a couple’s session. I got to meet Michael then when his hair was longer than both of ours. 😆 They were so much fun then and I have enjoyed watching their sweet relationship grow.

Then when I got the email from Audrey asking me to be her photographer I couldn’t be more thrilled. 🥳💍🥂

I think all us just about lost it when Colin saw Laurel in her wedding dress for the first time. 😭🤧🥹 And then seeing their bridal party sneaking peeks from the balcony windows. 🥺

Laurel and Colin met while Laurel was a senior in high school; it’s high time they made it official and tied the knot!! These two have a love story that everyone enjoys being a part of. The wedding vows that they read to each other were beautiful. They have a chemistry that is so special. And after spending so much time with them it’s evident how much Colin adores Laurel. He is always making her laugh and he is so funny. Who doesn’t love to see her gorgeous smile! 😍

I first met Laurel when I got to take take her senior photos. She is as sweet as she is stunning. When I got her email asking me to photograph her wedding day I was like YES!!! 🙌 Absolutely!!! I would capture this day with these two a 100 times over. It really was that perfect. ✨🩷

They are heading off to St. Lucia for their honeymoon, to soak up alllllll the sun, sand, and waves. And possibly maybe even a matching ring finger tattoo to really seal the deal. Their dreams of the future include living on farm filled with horses, cows, chickens, goats! Along with of course a crew of the cutest little babies running around – dirty feet and faces all in one.

If you find someone who will kiss you on bench in this Alabama humidity then you found a keeper! Emma & Nicolas have a love like that. 🥹 We met up at the Birmingham Botanical Garden and we were dodging showers of rain and also the heat. 🫠🌂

We did have to pull out the blow dryer and the curling iron in the bathroom because the hair was not having it. A quick trip to the “creative dust salon” and Emma was ready for round two. ✌️ I just loved my time with these two. 🌼🫶

Jane & Payton are FINALLY married. 💍 They’ve known each other since 11 years old, became friends and then went straight to “I love you.” The rest was history. This year will make 10 years together including five years of long distance. Friends really do make the best spouses. 🫶 These two already have a lot of time under their belt together, but the best is yet to come!

Their wedding day was just perfect. 💯 Her dress was perfection, with lace, tulle, backless, and all things classic for a summer wedding. Quite nearly the definition of perfection. But can we take a second to talk about Payton’s tie?? I mean, the floral print with that blue suit – it has me swooning. 👔 The bridesmaids wore the softest summer blue, with décor and floral accents of soft purples and peaches.🪻 Literally, a STUNNING spring wedding. Just a photographer’s dream. ✨

🥂 Still going on this Wedding Day! Laurel is like photographing Barbie. And then is beautiful from every angle. This venue set the stage for all their wedding day to shine. ✨The owner, Joy and her team are set the bar for being excellent. Everything is maintained to the highest standard. For this venue, the grass really is greener on their side! 🤣 Their courtyard had the prettiest grass we’ve ever seen.✨

💄Also, when you have doing your brides hair and makeup then it’s going to be a good day! The way she makes those lashes look!!! 😍 And Laurel’s hair! Gahhhhhhh! Paris is talented!!! She got Barbie ready for her close up.💋

🫶 This day was also such a dream thanks to Beth and her coordination. She kept the whole day running smoothly while attending to Wedding day details and ensuring Colin and Laurel had all the assistance they needed. 🙌Having a wedding planner/coordinator on your wedding day really does make a HUGE difference. We have noticed that we are able to get more photos and unique candids when we able to solely focus on documenting your day. 🩷 So thank you Beth!!! You were behind the scenes the entire time enabling us to make magic. Dream Team! ✨

+ You guys! I gotta mention the food! This might have been the best meal we have ever eaten at a wedding Dorthy Datcher Catering is soooo good! Wow! 1000000% recommend them for your wedding day catering.

These two love birds are getting married this fall at .glass.house.venue! 🙌Getting to take Kira & Dakota’s engagement photos in downtown Decatur was such a good time. 🌪 Did we almost get blown away by a storm towards the end? Sure! 🌬But Kira and I have a history of doing photoshoots in extreme conditions! 😉

I first met Kira during her senior photoshoot when we were all living in the unpredictable pandemic times. 😷🧻 I was like, “Smile sweet girl, and just pretend that the apocalypse isn’t here!” 🌸

And then last summer we did a photoshoot for her 21st Birthday and it was like a zillion degrees! It felt like we were walking on the sun. I was like, “Smile sweet girl, and just pretend your high heels aren't melting into the cement.” 🫠🥵

So obviously we are unstoppable! 👊 And I am so grateful for the opportunity to capture this beautiful time in their lives. We are counting down the days until their big day this coming October. 🌻🌟

🍼 We ourselves recently welcomed our baby girl Riley into our family. She will be 6 weeks tomorrow. 👶 We are absolutely in love and my phone is full of a million pictures of her! Is anyone else’s phone full of endless photos of their baby, kids or fur baby? It’s like, how many of these can I share before it’s too much…😆

🤭 But really it’s just who I am to take LOTS of photos. All of you who have met me for photos know that I say, “just one more.” and then take a million more… 😝 It’s because I LOVE getting to capture your special moments. When my heart is in something, I want to document those moments forever with beautiful photos. 📸
