It was a LONG week inspecting a 110 unit apartment complex but we made it!

Start the new year by changing out all of your HVAC filters! Set a reminder in your phone to change them again every 3 months. We recommend even more frequently if you have pets or are doing construction in your home. This filter isn’t even 3 months old but wood floors in the house were sanded, causing extra dust in the air. You will thank yourself when your HVAC system runs better and longer because of good maintenance.

Today during an inspection:

Seller: Not sure what is going on with the dishwasher. It’s like the power keeps going in and out on it for the last day or so.

Me: I’ll try to figure out where the issue is…

This client had plugged their dishwasher into a power strip. The strip overloaded and burnt out. This strip was buried deep in the cabinet behind a set of TOWELS!

Please, DO NOT plug any major appliances or heaters into power strips. They are not rated for that amount of electrical draw and can cause a house fire!

Did you know that we will reinspect anything that is fixed on your TRR, to make sure repairs were properly completed, before you assume control of the property? This is a service we provide for no additional charge to help protect our clients. These photos are from today’s evaluation. As you can see, there are items listed as “repaired” that were partially repaired or completely neglected. Our client and their awesome realtor team are now aware of the current state of the home repairs before closing.
